I think people are overlooking the game management by City tonight, we invited them on and invited their press in the first half IMO. We didn't plan to concede from the corner but outside of that what did they create?

With that goal, I could see us going in at half time level and getting a goal around the 70 min mark in the second half and being happy with that. The pressure was always going to tell, way more than they managed to put us under in the first half and they couldn't deal with it.

It was a great game but I think in the cold light of day they'll be disappointed they played 20 minutes vs 10 men and didn't kill the game.

Maybe we just aren't there yet in terms of ruthlessness and we will have to win this first CL the hard way.


I hope Pep realises Zinchenko is vital to this sides build up now. He said as much after Dortmund but it didn't stick apparently.

Yes we were fantastic second half but we could have had the luxury of a striker when they went down to 10. There were 2 or 3 chances that Aguero or Jesus would have put away.
