I’ll remain convinced to the day I die that there was something shady about the officiating that night
I usually lean towards incompetence rather than corruption but those two legs were ridiculous. The Sane offside in the home leg still infuriates me to this day

We would have beaten Madrid in that final. Knowing Pep we might have gone out against Rome in the semis though haha

I don't know why, but I'm feeling really confident after Sunday. I can see Mahrez having another blinder and further cementing his place as fan favourite rather than boo boy!

We create plenty in every game, and will again. We just need to take our chances and I think Mahrez is the man to.

But read my post again.
There is no world in which a 2-1 loss is better than a 0-0. None at all. In saying that, he’s wrong.

The away goal is useless compared to a non defeat. No defeat away is better than any draw away however many away goals we score.
Lose 3-2 away and then win 1-0 at home we go through I think was the point being made. Not scoring an away goal can make any tie extremely difficult.

Loving the way Mahrez is playing at the moment,, won't hear one bad word about him.

I can't remember playing that system all season. Not a cat in hell's chance he would disrupt us like that in a game as big as this.

Yup, because Pep has no history of over thinking CL games and changing systems :O

I actually like the idea of Diaz/Laporte/Stones, but, I agree with you. PSG is not the game/time to tinker, just play our best 11, with THE system that suits US.

With Zincs lack of pace wonder if Laporte plays left back. Cancelo defended well at left back although I think he will be sub with Walker at right back.

I'd hope Pep goes

Eddy
Walker Stones Dias Laporte
Rodri Kev Gundogan
Mahrez Jesus Foden

Poch at Spurs usually played a counter attacking footie & Mbappe for Psg battered Bayern on the counter, even though the German Rags were the better team.
Pep cannot afford to play a high defensive line in Paris. Spurs today as poor as they were, looked dangerous on the counter. Would take a cagy 1-0 win & 2-1 defeat isnt a disaster but we have to score at least 1

That defence is far to negative for my liking.

Losing the away tie is always more difficult than drawing the away tie.

Draw nil-nil away and win 1-0 at home and you still go through.

By best result, it is:

Win
Score draw
Goalless draw
Scoring defeat
Defeat without scoring

Certainly a tough one

Who partners Dias

who plays left back

Kev in midfield or as the false 9

I’d like to see

Ederson

Walker Stones Dias Zinchenko

Gundo Rodri Bernardo

Mahrez KDB Foden

I think having more control and a stable build up is more important than recovery pace at the back

If Rodri gets the ball knicked off him we are goosed. Zinchenko is always available for the pass
