The twinning with Manchester seems dormant now. When I came back here in 2007, there used to be various exchange visits and events that I'd often go to, but I've heard of nothing for ages. It's occasions like this that secure fans for life. Kids want atmosphere as well as good football.In front of me was a foreign family, no idea where from and they looked out of place, but it was heartwarming to me to see them stood up chanting "City" like they'd been going since the Main Road days.I've just had a text from a friend whose family live in Scotland and she said her two nephews aged 12 and 16 were down with a school trip last night and didn't get home until 3.00am. One of them couldn't speak this morning but had the time of their lives and want to come back as soon as possible!! Brilliant, we are bringing the new fans from everywhere.
Even with a 3.00am arrival they were up for school this morning!! Probably wanting to tell all their mates about the whole experience. :-)
