Paris Saint-Germain (H) - CL SF | Post-Match Thread

Yep, I was pretty pissed he never came on at the end of the League Cup final, took a bit of shine off watching him stood on the sidelines.

Being only 1-0, Pep was probably still worried about an equaliser.
The pressure on Pep to get things right, while keeping 20 players happy,is mindblowing. The fact he has predominantly got those things right for 99% of his coaching life is truly amazing.

Not news to us.....but he is far and away the best in the business.

Keep seeing a clip on sky of the players dancing and singing in the changing rooms after the game, anyone any clue what they are singing?
Its that house re-recording where I never knew the sample but the new one says (I think) "It's Friday again".

And his players never leak or moan to the press. I can't remember an "unhappy player" story since Pep came in.

I just loved the fact Sergio got on one last time at the Etihad for a Champions League game.

Pep rarely does sentimentality, but he got this one right.
I had genuine fear of a second KDB yellow though. He had to be taken off the way the game was going. I trust him, but psg would have done anything

Yes, amazing, but it is easier when a team is winning and trophies are being queued up?

I expect some players may reassess their commitment to the club at the end of the campaign, especially if some of them can also boast a Champions League winners' medal.

That could even mean people like Sterling, Jesus and Laporte?

All three of those guys have egos of their own and a perception they can play every week somewhere else.

We see it through the lens of why would anyone want to leave a winning set-up and playing under Pep, but there could yet be a need to take the team forward again, planned or forced.

I think he'll lidt the Premier League as captain on the final day of the season. If Fernandinho gives him that honour, Fern deserves to lift "Big Ears" if we win it.

But what about when Dave, Vinny and Zabba come running on to the pitch too, eh?

They can maybe just sit in the front of the team picture with a big middle finger fuck you?
