Paris Saint-Germain (H) - CL SF | Post-Match Thread

Agree. I would be gutted to lose Laporte, simply because there is no real drop in quality in rotation.

The emergence of Foden and Mahrez, coupled with Bernie, would suggest Sterling and Jesus would have the most to think about, certainly if people like Haaland and Grealish could come in as replacements?
Yes, Laporte would be a big loss. I'd assume Pep will tell him one bad injury or loss of form and he plays every week. I sense he's a stubborn character though and he'll be badly hurt missing out on the game of his life. If Sterling missses the game and has a poor Euros he might reevaluate and to be honest if we can get £100m+ I could live with it. Jesus needs to decide whether he's happy as a number 2 striker. At his age I'm not sure he will be.

Well said, as a kid the 70s and 80s was a nightmare, the constant piss taking from rags and scousers, but I always knew we would have our day.

Those difficult times make this even more special, seeing the hurts of the rags and scousers is today a pleasure ,a wonderful pleasure, and I really hope they are hurting.
I totally agree Keeper..it was so hard as a City fan..truthfully I never expected this to happen..just remember the day when the Sheikh took over..Robinho bought, nearly bought Berbaflopp..the forum seems to have many people from that era..it was an amazing day. We old boys have to accept that the younger fans havent experienced the lows, and maybe feel matters differently to ourselves..have said this before, the Stoke final laid many ghosts to rest for me..everything else has been a massive bonus. All I can say to the younger fans is hope,do not expect. We are City, not rags or scousers.

Totally agree, the Swales era was hard, often heartbreaking but it was character building at it's finest.

I would not swop any of it , we support a wonderful football club with a rich heritage, it's a honour to be part of this club and to be part of the last 12 years is mind blowing!

Just watched the full replay up to Mahrez's second goal, and I've come to the conclusion that PSG suffered from a team of too many players who are used to getting every fuckin' call from the ref, and when the Dutch whistling wallah didn't give it, they resorted to the usual mode - the LotG into their own hands, but Baby Bjorn wasn't having any. Two major culprits - Herrera thinks he's God's gift to football, and the serial cheat, Diarrhoea's partner in crime, Dimmer-roea! I think there's a common denominator with those two - just can't put my finger on it at the moment. But a couple of gobshites, nonetheless.
