Good luck on Saturday morning. Let us know how you get on.
I'm actually doing Oldham parkrun tomorrow. It's a hilly, tough one, so not expecting a good time.
How did you go on? It's my local one Oldham..
Used to go all the time but kids activities have stopped it for now.. :(
Love parkrun it's such a great idea and liked people say free..
Don't want to sound like I'm teaching your grandma to suck eggs an all that.
But stick with it, you lot starting out on your running hobby.
I started few years back to get fit and lose way to much timber I had.. Couldn't run a mile (like they all say). Then started on parkrun, think my first attempt was around 28/29 mins and thought I would die..
I can proudly say I have done Oldham parkrun in 20:31, run parkrun in Florida and Gdansk (Poland with a bad hangover on a stag do).
This has lead on to lots of 10k races and other events including 8 marathons and 1 ultra marathon..
I am the least likely runner (as they all say) but stick with it, for me parkrun has a lot to answer from where I was to now some nearly 5 years of running.,
