He obviously doesn't rate himself highly enough to succeed with us. He will fade into obscurity with Celtic but have a nice easy career with them. We need young, hungry players with ambition.

Two years time none of us will even remember his name.

We bought him and sent him straight out to celtic, we then sent him out the next year he has settled there and is happy, cannot blame his stance, he is playing regulary and still young enough to come back to the prem eventually.

Come back on the off chance he may be on the bench or play every week where you are already loved by fans and in a winning team.

now I consider the scottish league pub football, but I can see his point.

And sorry but park heads atmosphere is decent we cannot really be offended by that considering we have a 74 page thread half of it us saying ours is poor.

It hasn't/didn't work out for the lad here good luck to him if he's happy, god forbid we become like the scouse and arse thinking people should be grateful to have a chance at a sniff playing for us.
Spot on.

To be honest I don't think many of us actually care as it is. If he does progress at Celtic, just hope we have a sell on clause.

A waste of year for him going back to celtic. Felt if he had moved to a premier league team being a world cup year, he really could of been a bolter for the england squad.

Poor game today against Motherwell.
I agree wasn't his day. I think his decision to stay at Celtic backfired for him, even if he thought it was best to get regular playing time in front of the fans who love him (Celtic fans are crazy), ultimately it was a comfortable choice to make and at his age he should have picked the option to push his career further. I no longer think he will have a chance at City, still hoping City give Bersant Celina the chance here, actually wants to plus for us.

Yeah, it's a hard one though. Maybe Roberts has been close enough to good players to develop an acute sense of self-awareness sufficient to recognise his own limits. If that's the case, we should thank him for not wasting our time and wish him well.

Hit the bar with a decent effort, but every move he made with the ball, save one, was inside, and he continually drifted across the park once he had released it; hard to tell if he could discipline himself to play out wide and stretch the game. When he did attempt to take the ball down the line, he was immediately snuffed out. First game back, though, so hopefully he'll gather speed soon.

Pep has this strange ability to judge a player within a few training sessions.. Its either ability, attitude or both. But he gets it right. I personally thought Roberts would make it but he's done nothing to make me think otherwise

Never going to make it here the moment he pushed for a second loan to Celtic just to walk a shit league and get spanked in Europe.

People in this league wanted him(Southampton iirc), look at the state of the England squad, he could have played himself in to that in a world cup year(assuming he didn't get injured). He took the easy option and has dropped hints he'd happily stay there longer. Fuck him off
