I have seen him play for England and her does look one of the most exciting prospects in years, both him and Barker play on the wings for the U19's.

Revealed: The player the Premier League's big six all want to buy this summer
He's one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the country - and English - Patrick Roberts could be winging way to one of the big boys

Premier League's big six interested in Fulham wonderkid Patrick Roberts

Fulham's disastrous season in the Championship will see them lose England wonderkid Patrick Roberts in the summer with the Premier League’s big six all chasing his signature.

England Under-19 forward Roberts is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the country, but his progress has been held up by Fulham’s struggle to avoid a second successive relegation.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all interested in Roberts and enquired about his availability last summer, following Fulham’s relegation to the Championship.

Fulham placed a huge £15 million asking price on the head of Roberts 12 months ago, but the club cannot make such big demands this summer as the 18-year-old only has a year remaining on his Craven Cottage contract.
Roberts has started only three games for Fulham this season, as the club have changed managers and dropped dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Having taken over from Felix Magath, Fulham manager Kit Symons has largely put his faith in £11m signing Ross McCormack and 20-year-old Cauley Woodrow. Matt Smith has also returned from a loan spell at Bristol City.

Even if Fulham avoid a second relegation and stay in the Championship, they are unlikely to be able to keep hold of Roberts and there is no new contract on the horizon.
Despite his struggles at club level, Roberts has impressed on the international stage – scoring five goals in eight England Under-19 appearances.
Roberts was part of the England team that won the European Under-17 Championship in Malta last summer. He topped the assist chart with four and was the joint second highest scorer with three goals.

doesnt make sense to buy an 18 year old when:

1) we have so many of our own
2) he won't even get into the squad (not first XI)
3) we have Lopes returning who has actually shown a lot of promise in a top league
4) we need to spend money on first XI

He will go to Liverpool and replace Sterling in my opinion as their next prodigy along with Ibe.

He is a very promising young player and could go on to become England's best prospect since Rooney in 04 but he needs guiding and game time to develop into the player many believe he can become.

People said Roberts was anonymous when he played against our U21s last month. Fulham promoted him then dropped him back to the U21s. Is he any better than Barker, Ambrose, Garcia or Lopes?

Kit Symons said he felt he was too small and lightweight at this moment in time to hold down a regular place in the Championship which I do agree with and to be fair he has only just turned 18.

For England I have seen him pull off some unbelievable moves and his goalscoring record for England is decent for a winger/ attacking midfielder, he is definitely one of if not the most technical young English player below the u21's.

That's good news then as we have about 8 or 10 as good or better.

No objection to signing him, promising player, but he probably wouldn't get in our strongest EDS /U19s team & none of them get a sniff of the first team as it is.

He is a major talent and is going to make it to the top, but we already have someone just as good who's a winger called barker. I can't see him coming to us anyway pelles record on youth is terrible and if he goes to say liverpool he will get games

One year left on his contract could see him going for cheap.

Probably £5 million at the most.

100% worth a gamble, really talented young player with great technical ability.

I'd have him in the EDS at first to see how he does, then possibly a loan spell to a good club where he'll get first team football.

Honestly I think he'd be worth the gamble, especially with Greg Dyke fucking around with the PL rules. He certainly has potential, if we can get him cheap (cheap for english talent anyway) chances are if he doesn't make it we could still end up with a profit such in the madness of the English Price tag.
