Jesus gets a game. As does Sane.....

Its not me being a clever arse here its just the harsh realities of the modern game and clubs like us in that you will only get the chance if you are an absolutely outstanding talent and you force your way in.

I get its not what some Blues want or foresaw when the academy was first mentioned and built but the club sees it as a nursery for talent that can make money and hopefully every now and then bring through that player who goes on to be world class and in any sport, that last 1% that makes that difference is often between the lads own ears.

We give them everything to succeed and they have to take their chance.

I respect your reply, mate, but just feel the pendulum has swung a little too far. For example, Nacho's confidence took a knock the way he was deployed last year, at a time when he needed nurturing. But yeah, it's dog eat dog and management by cheque book at this rarefied level. That's the price for relentlessly chasing success and there's no room for sentiment or old-fashioned values.

I head to about 8 odd Celtic games a season one of my mates is a season ticket holder. Tierney is a huge talent for his age and is the one player most supporters want and hope they can hold on to as he is a massive fan. The only players I can think off on a similar level to Tierney is dembele or maybe simunvic who could have good careers at high level. Celtic have a great manager in brendo but their squad isn't of premier league level although it is closer now then it has been in a long time. Celtic could easily rest their starting 11 and win a league game no way they could do that in our league or the championship. You honestly think they would survive comfortable when their squad is arguably weaker then Sunderlands last year. I enjoy watching celtic and would love if they got moved to the championship and we could see I think they would add alot to the premier league.
Tierney is a massive talent, but that doesn't make him one of their best players, he could be in a few years. Tom Rogic is an example of a better player that I bet you don't know about, he practically carries Australia's national team and has made them dangerous.

Listen, I know you don't watch them, stop trying to pretend like you've seen them play. It's like if I made a statement about Anderlecht (who top their league) and say they are crap without even watching them regularly, it would be wrong to just assume that, you have to watch the team regularly.

And yes, Celtic are better than Sunderland, Sunderland are crap, if your basis that Sunderland are better is "because they were in the Prem" then that shows no analysis on your part.

Edit: For reference, I call Sunderland crap because I watched them alot last season, because Jason Denayer was there (don't ask why I watch games for teams where our top youth are, that's why I know about Roberts at Celtic). Sunderland couldn't defend or string together a few passes together, the team was completely lost and overly reliant on Defoe.

I also watched FC Twente alot so that's why I also knew Enes Unal was a big talent, not based on clips of his finishing, but watching his whole game. Just mentioning this to give you some insight to why Im confident in what I know.

Its one of them situations where you are not wrong mate and im not right here but regardless, both sides of this argument have to accept what football has become at this elite level.

Tom who?! Never heard of an Australian international who played exceptionally well against us in Europe! If you were trying to tested my knowledge you could have said I wouldn't have heard of their young Belgium defender, ivory coast international CB, their English attacker or even their israeli midfielder. You proved my point denayer walked into Celtics first team and won Scotland's young player of the year found life alot tougher at sunderland. Player for player and in squad depth Sunderland has a better team in my opinion, do a combined team and bench and do you honestly have more Celtic players?

Yes, a combined team would favour Celtic. This isn't really going anywhere and has strayed from the topic of Roberts so I won't discuss this further.

Word up here that Roberts has told his agent he wants to return to Celtic.

Might be shit but bookies have slashed odds to 10/11z

Well if its not a loan, and considering you have allegedly just paid 7m for Ntcham.......then he's gonna be expensive.

Would make sense if he isnt going to play with us.

Said when you put your bid of £10, a crate of Irn Bru and a morning roll with 2 lorne sausage on it that he had no doubt told Celtic then he was open to the move.

If we do sell him i hope its to your lot.

I think him going permanently to you would be a good move for him, but I don't think you've got the money he wouldn't be cheap.
