No thanks to slow theres better cover we can get.
I would not sell too unless we have quality replacement on the market for the cheaper. We have spent tons of money on center-backs and it makes no sense to pay even more for a guy like Torres. If Ake could go, we need to sign a cheaper alternative to make some profit.Fukin hope not and Ake stays
No we dont, price is irrelevant, we just need to get the right guy.I would not sell too unless we have quality replacement on the market for the cheaper. I’d just swoop in for Martinez at Ajax ahead of the rags and Arsenal.. although Torres isn’t a bad shoutNo we dont, price is irrelevant, we just need to get the right guy.
So let's spend 80M£ on the right guy. Instead of strengthening the other positions, let's spend the next big amount of money on the next right guy as a 4th choice center-back. Amazing strategy, top in terms of business. No we dont, price is irrelevant, we just need to get the right guy.
I really like Gvardiol at Red Bull given the choice. Wonder if they get Cucurella they'll go with Dias/Laporte as the LCB and grab a RCB instead Kounde etc.I’d just swoop in for Martinez at Ajax ahead of the rags and Arsenal.. although Torres isn’t a bad shout
Yeah, let's spent 60M£ on Torres and sell Ake for 30M£. Makes a lot of sense in terms of 4th CB who is the same as Laporte and Stones lolI’d just swoop in for Martinez at Ajax ahead of the rags and Arsenal.. although Torres isn’t a bad shout
We dont need to make a profit on sales. If Ake goes for 50, and we buy a replacement for 50. we've lost nothing. Doesnt have to be cheaper or make a profit. Who said Ake was going for 30m? Try 50-60 as quoted for Newcastle. And yes the replacement needs to be top level, and why is having a cb closely resembling Stones and Laporte a bad thing? You’ve had a mare hereYeah, let's spent 60M£ on Torres and sell Ake for 30M£. Makes a lot of sense in terms of 4th CB who is the same as Laporte and Stones lol
And that would be a profit anyway. Signing someone for £50m on a 5 year deal costs us £10m per year, but selling Ake for £50m is a £26m profit with him being worth £24m on our books (£40m - (2x8m))We dont need to make a profit on sales. Yeah, the obsession with transfer profit is unnecessary. If we can get someone willing to take 4th spot who has a bag of upside potential as well, if you have to pay a lil over, you pay over. The right guy is more important than a cheaper guy. if you can find someone who fits both great. And that would be a profit anyway. So we’d be boosting this year’s books by £16m
The guy is about the same size as Bernardo Silva, why would you want to get him as a CB?I’d just swoop in for Martinez at Ajax ahead of the rags and Arsenal.. although Torres isn’t a bad shout
