Matuidi along with Kante are both Mourinho "type" players
Where did you here Pep wanted him though ?
I remember thinking how Pogba would fit our system last summer. I wanted him because he's shiny and new but no matter how I tried to fit him in, he was a problem. I know, a player like Pogba being a problem!Matuidi would fit mourinhos system better than Pogba
Pogba would be limited in the 2
United will seemingly play Rooney as a 10 as they've signed the walking nose
Pogba will prefer Real imo

But you try fitting him into our system and see how it goes. Midfield 2? Pointless, too good. So, the only thing you can do to utilise his strengths is a mid 3 in a 4-2-3-1. We've got Kev. Who would you rather have in that position?
Raiola is a real cancer to football.I think at the moment it is 50/50. Balague seems to think that Madrid have abandoned the race due to the astronomical fees.
I do think Pogba is really pushing for the Madrid move, but his agent Mino Raiola is really pushing for Man Utd due to the 25 million he will earn from this deal. I really do feel that agents ruin the game, they aren't putting their clients best interests at heart, they are putti their best interests at heart. It isn't Mino Raiola that will be living in Manchester and playing for United in the europa league, that is Pogba. He needs to make a decision for himself, this is a career defining move and to be perfectly honest, will he ever win a champions league with Man Utd? I doubt it. Bale who turned down Utd for Madrid has won 2. Proof is in the pudding.
If Utd do get Pogba though, it will be a fantastic signing and will spell danger for city and the rest of the premier league. The day we finished in 4th place was the day we all laughed out loud, but I think in a way Utd finished 5th could prove to be a blessing in disguise. They aren't resting on their laurels in the market, they are takig very aggressive approach and are paying whatever it takes to get back up to the top again. I feel that because we have champions league, we are resting on our laurels and thinking that because we have pep and champions league we don't have to pay over the odds. Had we of finished in 5th place, we might have done the same and whipped out the chequebook and been more ruthless because we don't have anything else to offer for players.
The fact is, if you don't pay the big bucks nowadays, you won't get the player. Real Madrid with all their history and prestige have had to overpay for years, it is no different with any other side. I wish City had the same drive in the market as our rivals are showing because if we did, we would absolutely PISS the league.
I'll be the first then."We didn't want him anyway " coming to this thread very soon.
I'll be the first then.
I wanted him before the Euro's thought he'd be the young Yaya etc etc
After watching the Euro's this lad is not a patch on Yaya in his prime and I've not been that impressed.
He's a good player but not top drawer and certainly not £100m, anyone who thinks he is has been caught up with the fan boy hype and needs to have a word with themselves as I have now done with myself.
