I still think we should be in for him, if we're willing to pay £40m+ for a 29 year old centre back, we should be willing to pay for the hottest property on in the market. If it's the wages we're bothered about, him being on more than aguero etc, ruining our wage structure, give him equal wage with bigger signing on fee. I know he's not set the euros alight, but he's considered by many as likely to become the best cm in the world. Like its been said on here many, many times, it's not our money. I'd love it if we gazzumped the rags at the last minute.

Exactly what you'd expect from Madrid if they were trying to land him. Jockeying from each side (Juve/Raiola and Madrid) up until it's done just to see if there's any gap emerging that they can exploit in order to leverage higher/lower fee/wages.

I'm not saying it won't happen (stranger things have), but the law of Occam's Razor suggests that the rags are not real players here, just being used as leverage a la Ronaldo/Ramos scenarios.

I reckon the only real questions right now centre around whether Pogba goes to Madrid or stays at Juve. Everything else is furniture.

Usually forwards are the players who go for big money not saying thats right or wrong

He has ability on the ball ability to pass but is he able to dribble past players like Ronaldo or able to pass the ball like Kroos or Yaya ?

How tough tackling is he ?

How many goals does he get ?

Can he do free kicks like Bale Ronaldo ?

The way the transfer market keeps inflating, £100m might seem like a bargain in a few years, especially with all the TV money. Palace are splashing out £30m on players now, watford turn down similar amount for Troy fucking deeney. In 5-10 years time I reckon there will be a £250m player
