Paul Pogba

If united pull it off they have a core of an outstanding team. I would be very worried for two seasons until the Jose toxics kick in...
I would not say that. Liverpool and Spurs are ahead but Pogba would put them back in the running. You can understand their desperation to pay whatever it takes.

IMO no chance he goes to the rags.

He said he wants to take the next step and win the champions league soon.

In the last 3 years Real has won the CL twice and Barca has won it once.

The rags are playing in the Europa league and didn't even get past the group stage this year where you couldn't have picked an easier group if you wanted to and they won't come close to winning the CL anytime soon. They are on a decline and Pogba would be taking a huge step back in his career by going to them, it would be better to stay at Juve win the league again and play CL football one more season if Real or Barca aren't willing to pay up this season.

I would agree with other posters that Pogba's agent is just toying with United to either get a better contract or a better offer from another club like Neymar and many, many other players have done recently.

I would say Chelsea could finish above the rags this season under Conte who has done wonders in the Euros with one of the worst Italian squads in history.

The media PR campaign is already starting. As in the Mail today - United the only one willing to pay a nine figure sum to make him the record transfer in history.

The only other team they mention him being too rich for is us.

If he signs you can see how United would regard this as a massive head start in the war to regain UK bragging rights.

Hopefully we will prove otherwise on the pitch with Pep forging a great team and not with single player massive gambles.

I'd obviously rather see him joining madrid than rags but I'm actually not too bothered. I don't think he is as good as he is hyped.

I am hoping that the reason we've pulled out is because we think he wants Spain. That would explain a lot. I don't get the budget argument when you read about the record bids City are supposed to be tabling. If you have the money, then buy the best, and Pogba is amongst the best and would improve any team.

If he is not interested in returning to English football, then Utd are wasting precious time in the transfer market. It wouldn't surprise me if Woodward has got it totally wrong again.

Hopefully. I think our budget problems arise from the way our finances fall right into the FFP trap. Sure, we could match any deal but it would be at an FFP cost, particularly if it had a big wages knock on as other players demanded parity. We have a lot of positions that need strengthening and little expectation that we can move unwanted players on for any real fees.

Can imagine we thought that in the end we can get stronger by spending the dosh elsewhere.

What stage are we at with pogba and the rags?
Snubbed again? Didn't want him anyway? We was never in for him? Glad we didn't sign him? He used us?**
**delete as appropriate.

Or, have we enough season ticket renewals to come out with a statement saying they were not interested ))

James in "advanced talks" with PSG. some pocket cash for RM to add to the Pogba kitty, hopefully.

i'm disapointed that we are not in for Pogba but completely understand that we can not blow apart a wage structure that we have battled so hard to get in place, i know he is not the finished article but would have been a great statement signing,

That said i could certainly live with Pogba to Madrid and Kross to us.

How do you know we're not in for him? We don't seem to let the press be our mouthpiece like those orrible cunts do.

I have watched him closely tonight, picks up nice pockets of space, uses it with maturity, keeps it simple when it is required. Not trying to be the one man team tonight and is having a stormer. Phenomenal athlete with a good footballing intelligence and confidence. The world is his football pitch this lad.
