If United genuinely pay £25 million to Pogba's agent, they should get a hell of a lot of scrutiny because that's completely ridiculous.

£25 million to an agent is wrong and one of the biggest examples of "ruining football" I've seen in the last few years.

Barca paid €40m to Neymar's dad who is his agent also, who was coming from Brazilian league. This is nothing new

Real Madrid will pay whatever the fee if a top player is good enough.

They paid £80 million for Ronaldo - smashing the world transfer record by over £30 million.

They paid similar for Bale a few years later.

If Real Madrid aren't willing to pay £100 million for Pogba, then it's clear they don't think he's a future Balon D'Or winner like some people do. If Madrid thought Pogba was going to be the best centre midfielder in the world, they'd get him this summer. Yet they've apparently lost interest. Pogba is talented, but he's got miles to go before being world class.
Sure. Or right at this moment they don't have the money to compete with the rags. The reasons given on Sky for Madrid pulling out were economic.

So as it stands Madrid have apparently pulled the plug on pogba, leaving the rags in pole position to get him,but it seems it's his slimeball of an agent who wants the move (money) and not so much pogba, maybe pogba will pull the plug and decide to stay another year at juventus and hope Madrid come back in for him or us ..
Damn, I thought BleacherReport was just posting bullshit when I got the notification of Madrid hopping off. Hopefully no champions league is enough for him to say no to United

It is sad to see someone posting about city with no joy or passion at all just negativity and gloating

Plenty of them in the Hart and Zabs thread, it is very disheartening, I fail to understand what they get out of supporting a team if all they do is run the players down and moan and whine about everything.

According to sky sports news 3 weeks ago we was signing aubameyang...
According to sky sources.
Today according to sky sources real Madrid have dropped their interest in pogba.
As you were, nothing new here.

Why would he go back there, to a shit squad and no champions league? If he goes it aint football reasons. He would be taking a step down imho. I just cant see the pull to go to the rags!?!?!
It's money mainly. Maybe a bit if Mourinho and other French players there too. I think the CL thing is a bit overrated cos it's unlikely they'll go too many years without it.

Wrong again. I said I think they would walk the league if they signed Pogba

The moronic poster bring back swailes then asked me to put money on it. I never mentioned a thing. Yet again more bullshit and lies to feed the hate.

You have changed so much in the 10 years or so you have been on here and the old bozo's site, what has gone so wrong for you to be so negative (I know you were always a little negative lol)

They won't be scrutinised thought will they?

Funny thread this one.

I think the chance of United getting Pogba is close to zero percent - this year. Let's look at the facts. I think no one will disagree that the last few years were not the best for United. They lost their domestic power and missed out on Champions Legaue. Let's look at the players they signed in this time. I would say nothing special except Di Maria - a player that Real Madrid wanted to get rid off. United had enough money to satisfy Madrid and Di Maria. Though he left a little later. Just a few months after, the (maybe) most wanted player in world football is about to join United?

People getting a bit too exited. There is no single minute played but people already think or behave like United have found back to good old times. Pep is no wizard and so is Mourinho. United still play Euro league. They still have a long way to go. And they have no guarantee, like no one, that things will work well for them.

At the other side, Pogba is 23 and has enough time to wait and look how things develop. He could go to Barca or Madrid, why should he trade winning the Champions Legaue for playing on a Thursday night? Pogba is happy at Juventus an is in no rush. Don't get me wrong, I don't say he will never join United. I'm just saying it doesn't make sense right now. The only thing, and it feels pretty funny to write this sentence, that United can offer Pogba right now is stupid money. If Pogba is interested in a return to the Premier League he could still do it next year or in two. It would just be stupid to trade his excellent position for the huge construction zone Manchester United that can't guarantee anything. If Pogba should join United this year, the only thing he is interested in is a huge wage. I don't think Real Madrid or Barca want that kind of players, and I think City shouldn't. If money is so important to him, have fun and join United.

It's funny that in all of this that its assumed Pogba will leave Juve, like he has to move to one of Real or United. Juve gave Pogba the number 10 shirt last year and he stayed there, despite allegend interest from us as well as other clubs. Remaining at Juve is still a big option for Pogba, but all the talk is of him leaving... I guess there has to be something in it?

From a City perspective if United are able to agree a deal for Pogba, I think that will end any potential transfer for Bonucci. Juve might sell one of the two, but it would be hugely unlikely they would sell them both. I suppose you could say the same would apply for united and Pogba if our bid for Banucci is successful, but as Banucci is Italian I think that complicates things.

Get real mate. So we shouldn't be interested in buying players who are mainly motivated by money? So none of their players we signed in recent years were mainly motivated by money?

Disappointing if it means we miss out on Kroos.

Certainly seems like Pogba could stay at Juve or go to the rags.

City should go all in on Bonucci regardless.

So you start out by saying zero percent of him joining them, then you finish by saying if money is so important to him (which it is to most),then join them ? I'm confused with what you have just said,we hear that Madrid don't want to pay the fee,so all fingers point to the swamp,or are you suggesting he may stay at Juventus then this coming season ?
