We have the finance to outbid anybody but that sometimes may not be enough but if the best talent in the world becomes available we have to bid.
The player will decide where he goes but we have to bid if only to make the opposition spend money they may not want to.

If Pogba was on the open market, make no doubts about it, we'd be all over it like a rash, regardless of fee or wages, the fact we're not means we know where he wants to go (is going) and that's Real. If it was a straight race between us and United, we could/would get involved even if it was just a club ego statement. Let's look at the main points, we've got a great manager, they've got a good/flawed manager, we can offer wages and transfer fee,they can also, we can offer champs league, they can offer Thursday football, added to all that is the fact they've let him down once before. In my opinion and that's all it is, he'll be with Zidane come the start of the season.

Pogba goes to who wants him the most. Right now it looks like that's United. Players do it all the time. They go where they are wanted.

It hurts me to say it, but I fear you & TH may be mistaken.

They're a massive cash cow with "worldwide 'istree", and the powers that be - premiership/worldwide media/Sky, etc - will, as a consequence, always bend over backwards to ensure they do not fail.

Maureen is a massive upgrade on "Turtle Head" tactically, & I fear that a couple of decent signings, when added to the likes of Foy, Clattenberg, Atkinson & Taylor, could make them a very big threat indeed.

I think they are at least two to three years away from becoming the force they once were again. At the moment, they are not as an attractive proposition for top players even with Moanio at the helm. IMO, they have a lot to prove before the big boys will willingly want to sign on for them.

They should make top four this next season, but I would not be surprised if they fail to do that.

Why do people think Rags are years behind us - they finished within touching distance - have a younger squad, have just replaced a numpty with a class manager. If they sign three players of quality they are right in the mix for everything except CL of course.

Yes we have PEP but Mourinho knows the league.

the rags are a couple of years behind us the reason they finished so close to us was because they had a manager who knew how to set them defensivley also he got players playing for him! if u look at there spine smalling not good enough german pig finished rooney what a joke and ibra looks finished to me then looks like they need a new rebuild ours is still relivtley strong with stones coming in diniho and gundogan silva and kdb and sergio up top! anyway bk on topic pogba will not sign for the rags him and his agent are using them to force madrids hand

Any of Pogba, Kroos, Thiago or Koke would be great for us. We really need another wc CM if we are going for PL and CL.

United have made some good moves so far and no doubt getting Pogba makes them even stronger. Think they should get top 3 at least but confident we will finish higher

This all day long, we laugh at how pathetic their manager was and they finished level with us, if we get back to scoring goals like we have in recent years again I don't think anyone will touch us and I do make us favourites but no matter how boring their football might be 3 points is 3 points and I have them as a real threat esp as they've got no CL football to play

That lot will get a manager that knows even better how to play defensively, will not be interested in youth but wants players that will win him silverware straight away, and who knows the PL. It's also well known this manager gets in the mind of certain players and turn them in to real twats. Pepe, Costa ... That lot have Ibrahimovitch and Fellaini to start with. Easy victims.

Back to the topic, it's up to Pogba to make a choice where he thinks he can improve himself as a player and win silverware. If he let's his agent decide it's all about the money. Pogba is wanted everywhere nowadays and my guess is every club that can afford him will make him feel wanted. Imo Pep isn't really that interested in Pogba as he doesn't see the teamplayer he wants. As said before it's easy to see why a player like Kroos would fit Pep's team more than Pogba at this moment.
