To be fair £100m is absurd but we bid £100m for Kaka in 2008 which at the time was a preposterous sum of cash (Kaka won the Balon D'or though).

Haha Pogba's not that good now then ey? The delusion on this forum really does know NO bounds at all whatsoever does it? Hope to fuck he doesn't go the rags, the guy is gonna be an absolute great of the game. If he goes to united it's very, very bad news and anyone who doesn't think that need to grow a pair of bollocks and face up to reality

Never wanted him anyway

I am more pissed off that it will impact our chase of Kroos if true. Will transform their midfield if they get him regardless of the cost.

Big move if he goes to Stretford, can't say I wouldn't be jealous. But the fees they are paying and their general transfer dealings just show how desperate they are to make themselves the big I am. All the money on Di Maria, Falcao, Martial (although he's quite decent) and now the astronomical wages being paid to Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Ibra etc. Woodward literally is a chuck the cash and leave guy. This signing probably means we have to take United a bit more serious now, but I do remember a similar situation in Spain where Mourinho bought star after star and still fell short to a guy named Pep. They can sign whoever they want over the road but we won the transfer window in February.

Pep Guardiola all day long.

Oh woe is us, United are mortgaging their financial future on a player we don't want. I'm sure Pep Guardiola is shitting his skinny jeans right now in terror at the three-headed ego trip Hydra of Pogba, Zlatan and Mourinho.

Get real. Pogba's great, elite even, but if Pep doesn't want him then neither do I. Further if you think he's worth more than any other player on the planet and more then you're a loon.

Hi Paul, come to United, we've a manager who has a track record of leaving clubs after very short periods of time and we're far from guaranteed to be in the Champion's League each season.

This has all the hallmarks of the seemingly yearly "United are going to sign Ronaldo" media story. I just can't see the Glazers signing off on a £100m signing, plus the extortionate wages he'd demand.

Even if I'm proven wrong and he does join United, £100m? That's a lot of money. They'd be better served adding 4 £25m players and revamping the squad in several areas.

My distant source is telling me that pogba to the other side of town is a done deal bar some financials - the word is that he has told people he is close to that he is going back to Manchester

We don't have Xavi, Iniesta and Messi though. the gap here is much closer.

They ain't mortgaging shit mate. They're getting a world class player capable of becoming the very best in the world. He's already one of the best. Who gives a fuck what they pay for him!? He's world class
