Add to that Mourinho never plays all 3 upfront, its 3 behind the striker and it just doesn't suit Pogba to be a second striker or a assist machine !
 
CIty didn't go for Pogba because those in charge didn't want all the crap that would come the club's way for paying 100 million and because they knew that if they did spend that much on one player they'd be taken for a ride on every other transfer deal in the future. So there'll be no point moaning City should have signed him when he smacks in a header from a corner in the last minute of a derby as he surely will one day.

mattyb posted earlier that Pogba signing for the rags was a condition in Ibra's contract. It does seem a bit odd that it could be in Ibra's contract unless Pogba had already signed. If he has signed for them they've managed to keep it hushed up for 3 weeks, which wouldn't be easy, given the club involved and the player's agent. But mattyb has been right on a lot of stuff before apparently.

As true as there are career-ending injuries, there are also career-ending transfers.
Pogba's signing with the rags is definitely one.
I hope he enjoys seing his career taking a u-turn for the worse, fights for 4th spot while we rack-up silverware.
And by the way, it has to be the worst peace of football-business in history.
I swear if we ever buy-back Boateng for anything close to £50M we would be the mendatory laughing stock of the whole media-rag-sucking-balls pack.
 
I am sad we didn't get him. He is and will continue to be a top 3 or 4 superstar. Not skill wise, but he people will always follow his career and want to know what he is up to.

So your saying someone who was a free transfer demanded the rags buy Pogba or he isn't coming.Not having that.

IS it just the single source saying the deal's done? I'm certain if it was done the match coverage would have cut to a breaking news story with the headline 'United are back' if it was true
 
DiMarzio hasn't said shit yet and even Duncan Castles, Mourinho's love trumpet, has only said 'Juve want it completed by the weekend'.
