I don't know why anybody feels the need to even bring Sterlings fee into it. £44m against £120m is a fair bit of difference for players who could both go on to great things.

No this year no. But I think in 2/3 years he will naturally replace Aguero or hopefully maybe even next year as a wide left forward a la Neymar at Barca, with Aguero false 9 and Sane on the right.I see one flapper, saying they're title favourites, and just common sense from others who realise they are signing a good player.

In a midfield two with either carrick or schneiderlin, probably.
Amazing how few people are pointing out the obvious parallels to when the last "greatest manager in the world" arrived and spunked a monumental amount of money on a "obvious world beater" in Angel Di Maria. Again the player arriving doesn't remotely suit the manager arriving, but it's a nice big name for them to jizz over for a while.

If he's played in midfield 2 in a 4231 then they won't be anywhere near utilizing him.

The fact that they could have better spent the 120M doesn't make the news that Pogba is joining them any better. He's a top player, one of the most sought after that puts them back on the map. They're signing someone who considerably improves their midfield and is a future Balon D'or winner - that ISN'T good news!
He'd be our best CM. Gundo is class as is 'Dinho but he's better than both. People forget how bad our CM's are right now; we literally only have 2 good options. You wouldn't dare pose that question if we were signing him.
