Paul Scholes has nice things to say about City and...

good article from scholes, another pundit whose isn't in on the agenda( but that aside)

as others have said home games against europe's elite have caused us problems for a variety of reasons

but the novelty value(for want of a better word) has now gone and now we will now compete on a level playing field.

where as before we weren't really given a chance v madrid, barca or bayern(the games we beat them were dead rubbers to them) now the games when we play them we should all approach with a different mindset.

it still will not be easy, not by a long shot, but i think we will be more competitive

What Scholes says about the fans was right, it is too quiet and I feel it will get worse as more day trippers attend and ticket prices for champions league games rise

Scholes attacks City fans - what you'd expect really from the agenda's ginger fringe

you really shouldn't descend into farce george, you've been here before!

what little credibility that remains will soon evaporate

Pretty decent article by Paul Scoles that.
He's right about making more noise for the big games, too.

Its a chicken and egg situation. Is a frenzied atmosphere needed to produce better performances or will better performances improve the atmosphere?

So far our CL campaigns have produced a series of disappointing or insipid games at the Etihad. The bigger the opponents the more disappointing the games. Until we have a really big victory at the Etihad against a top team, the fans aren't going to be that vocal. We aren't going to look forward to those games with the same sense of anticipation as Liverpool or United fans because we don't have the same memories, yet

He was without doubt one of the top footballers of the last generation.
Everything he says is pretty much how it is.
At times the atmosphere isn't great - whatever the reason.
I think this will all change when 3rd tier of the south stand opens

It worked for the scousers back in April when they turned Anfield into a 'cauldron of hate'. They won the league that day.
