Paul Scholes has nice things to say about City and...

Of course it was written for him !! You don`t honestly believe any footballer was capable of writing such a polished article,do you.
Whatever your feelings about who he played for, still a player I would have loved to have seen in a sky blue shirt.
Good old Karma came around nice and quickly after that didn`t it and I bear no grudges towards him or Neville. Now that other twat,Wio,I hate more than any other Rag since Beckham.

"A very balanced article from him" "of course it was written for him" - you can't have it both ways. As for bearing no grudges, that's your prerogative - I prefer to remember how he celebrated that semi, how Neville rammed endless victories down our throats, so, please forgive me if I say..FUCK THEM. FOR. EVER.

Shouldn`t you be getting ready for school.
Havn`t got a scooby what the fuck thats supposed to mean.

It's the school holidays. And I suggest a little lesson on prepositions for your good self may come in handy. It may help you to understand how you've come to write two diametrically opposed statements. Anyway, I'll leave you to the Scholes/Neville love-in.

Scholes was an outstanding midfielder regardless of what anyone writes on here. Mustn't be nice having to write articles like this or have them written in his name, but it's become more and more inevitable as we continue to grow and outplay teams. My problem with him is this character he was happy to play along with throughout his career, that he was a quiet, modest lad who just liked playing football. Nowadays he's in the paper every week having a pop at someone or something, what's all that about?

1 of the only rag players to never piss me off. Scholes was a top player met him loads of times when I was a kid in Alkrington and unlike Giggs (seemed to be with him a lot) he'd always give me signed pictures of himself for my rag mates and I'd always walk away saying cheers Paul but United are still shit and he'd laugh.

Excellent article we seem to be getting a few lately :)

The article is in his name so he has somewhere endorsed the views in it.

On us in The CL:

He is right.

I have been too many CL matches at home and they've been shit in atmosphere. Everyone is rushing to get home from work or straight from work to the match for kick-offs.
But most notably for me is that these big European opponents have tended to attract a Tourist viewer who will sit in the stands, and only ever stand when taking a Selfie, or filming some "Hooligan" trying to get a chant going.
Spending more time tweeting their friends back home in Singapore.

Another contributing factor is the cost of the ticket.
But Paul being Paul Scholes would likely get given a ticket for free to attend a CL match.

I found the atmosphere at City was far far greater recently when we played in the lesser competition the Europa League.
Oh, the ticket prices were reasonable for these fixtures, and usually stood amongst me were the regular ST holders, not the Tourist with no desire to create atmosphere.

Finally... Want me to be passionate about the UEFA Champions League?

Sort the greed, the non-transparency, the pure corruption, the corporate muppets in this UEFA organisation that control this competition disgust me and make me somewhat hate the champions league.

Clubs are far more vindicated when their supporters throw paper on the pitch than when they are blatantly racist.

Enjoy having a drink when and where you want one?
Even though a major sponsor in this competition has for many years been Heineken, you cannot drink this in the concourse at CL matches.

Why not?

Because UEFA says so. ;-/

A very balanced article from him and I would be nit-picking if I said I could find anything negative in that piece.
Whether you like it or not City fans,Scholes without doubt was one of the finest midfielders to grace the Premier League.

A brilliant player undoubtedly. A writer of balanced articles? Do me a fucking favour. Written for him. All of it.

Never ever forget his and the rest of those c**ts' reactions when they beat us in League Cup semi - they went fucking berserk, him, Fletcher, Rooney etc. Thought they'd prevented us from winning that much sought-after pot. They had. For one year.

Fuck him. Fuck them.
I'm confused. Don't get me wrong, I hate those rag bastards, but isn't that what football teams; and more specifically rivals, do when they've just beaten their rivals in a cup SF?

Never had too much of a problem with him to be honest. A truly great player in his day - except for his woeful tackling. And yeah he could be a bit snide at times. It's not like we didn't have one or two of those but in fairness, United always had more than their share of them.

Anyway, since he has retired, a lot of what he has to say is pretty much bang on, I must say. And he has no problem telling it how it really is - or seems to be - at the red Babylon. And long may it continue...until someone from the dark side shuts him up...

Of course,I mean our players would never stoop so low as to do anything like that, especially in a Wembley FA Cup Semi Final.Would they Mario ???
Whats the difference ???
Double standards from some Blues it seems.

The final whistle at the end of the second league cup semi was the real turning point between City and united. The FA Cup semi final that followed it some fifteen months later, more a staging post to where we find ourselves today.

The nature of the victory was so in keeping with the prevailing narrative of both clubs at that time: City, glorious yet predictable losers; united securing another big victory with yet another late, late winner.

As united, fans and players alike, celebrated at full time they must have convinced themselves that this state of affairs would endure. That in spite of all this money, City would still conspire to come short. It's in their DNA to fail.

That is why they are so bitter and obsessed today, as people so frequently are when they are proved to be comically wrong.

That's right, comically.
