We just spent 30m on Bony, so I don't think we will spend big on striker this summer.

What if Dzeko leaves ?

I think Dzeko will leave as I don't see the need for two big centre forwards, personally I think we need that more complete support striker to compliment either Aguero or Bony and Dybala would be a great option.

I think we are looking at De Bruyne to play there.

Personally, I would prefer if we stop our obsession with hoarding strikers and adopt the holistic 433 (4231 or 4123 or however you want to look at it) formation. With one of the wide forwards being able to act as a striker in case of emergency and the 2nd striker being Bony it would be more than enough, whereas when we have 3 top strikers (or a total of 4 strikers) the manager is in a lot of cases forced to play 442 or its variations.

look at all the top clubs. Real have Benzema and Hernandez, with Ronaldo being able to play there. Chelsea have Costa, then Remy, then an ageing Drogba. Arsenal have Giroud, Welbeck and then they have Sanchez and Walcott who can play there. There is no reason why it can't be Aguero, Bony and Sterling/EDS player/Iheanacho

2 strikers are not sufficient, and Pellegrini is still known as playing with 2 strikers, and if both Dzeko + Jovetic are gone come summer, then we need one no matter what.

I never said just two strikers, for a single striker system, main striker (aguero) + rotation option (Bony) + back up option (experienced player or a youngster/EDS player) + emergency option (a winger or wide forward who can play as a striker)

From the Mirror today

Arsenal have made a bid for Serie A sensation Paulo Dybala, according to his club president Maurizio Zamparini.

The Gunners have long been linked with the Argentine sensation, who has scored a number of stunning goals in Palermo's impressive campaign thus far.

And although the 21-year-old would cost north of £30million, making him the most expensive centre-forward in Arsenal history, there remains the possibility that they could miss out on his signing to Italian Giants Juventus.

"Juventus and Arsenal have already made offers for the boy," Zamparini told Italian radio.

"Pierpaolo Triulzi, his agent, will be in Italy on Friday. I’m asking for more than €40 million."

"He would prefer to stay in Italy, he still wants to play in Serie A. Of the English teams, Arsenal is the first choice, because of the way Arsene Wenger’s team plays."

I think three options as a no.9 are sufficient in our system. We should be able to play two together, as should be the case with Aguero and Bony once they gel, and also be able to play one on their own with goals also coming from the midfield. We've shown we can cope without any strikers if the fluidity is there in midfield. We need to address the goals that will be lost if Yaya leaves/plays less and that should come in the form of attacking midfield options.

amazing how he can deman 40m euro with a straight face given that Dybala could go for free if he stays for 1 more year

I agree. I'd like to see a variation of 433 so 2 strikers + 1 backup is enough

So hang on. ......he named barca and us as his two favourite teams, tolm has said we have an interest and we have aguero, zab, mdm and willy to help him settle yet the mirror reckon he wants arsenal?
