Google ancoats scuttlers, they were about 50 years earlier. A good read if your into local history. Not seen any of my lot in the archives but i did find a great great grandad from beswick up to no good.

Peaky Blinders is a drama on BBC 2 on Thursday nights about a criminal gang in 1920 Birmingham.
It short it's probably the best drama on TV at the moment and people should give it a go
A mate of mine is convinced it was originally called Pikey Blinders and was about a traveller gang but it wasn't politically correct.
Can't find any info on this and all reports recount it as a true account of a gang in Birmingham in the 1920s just as the drama itself.
He won't have it, but either way people should give this a look if you like true crime and gangster movies.

Googled it and looked it up and agree why it's called Peaky Blinders but mate is convinced it was going to be called Pikey Blinders
