He's had digs at the previous manager before and imo has no right.

He's got every right, hence in an official City documentary he does and nobody has edited it out.

Of course it isnt edited out, it fits with what txiki and co want everyone to think about mancini.
Yeah, the truth.

Indeed. Same shite different day

Solution? Stop whining about Mancini in documentaries. Problem solved. Everyone is happy. And peace shall descend upon the land of the faithful.

How can you expect a TV company make a documentary about the club at present and future without contrast to the past. Documentry makers don't want bland.

You are right.

Equally. It doesn't mean we have to serve up a bunch of muck spreading gobshites to make their job easier!

As for earlier posts suggesting Chappers is a footballing god - I can see it now. Pele, beckenbauer, Cruyff, Maradonna, Moore and Chappers!!

Any documentary that depends on access to the club will have clear terms of reference into what can and cannot be mentioned. Documentaries like this are predominantly a PR exercise. You can contrast to the past and show the astonishing difference between pre and post takeover and make it interesting. You can chart the progress made under the different managers we have had showing an upward trajectory and where we want to be; talk about the campus and the impact it will have and our holistic approach and a zillion other things and make it interesting.

If however you want to reference the fact that our previous manager was a total c**t in an industry largely populated by total c**ts it kind of smacks more of venting personal issues rather than 'promoting City'. It also kind of makes you look like a small time c**t as opposed the total c**t you are having a pop at. You're still a c**t though.

Personally I like c**ts. Just not bitter ones.

I suppose the best thing is for us to watch the programme and see quotes in context instead of basing our opinions on daily mail quotes.

City makes programme, wants people to watch it...
It tallies very nicely with what a number of people have been saying though doesn't it bud?
That's not the reason for a news article proceeding a programme though is it. It may or may not be the purpose of the programme, hopefully not and the point is about highlighting the benefits of 'the project' and the club to Manchester, but the purpose of an article about a programme is to get people to watch it.

Anyone else think of this when you read the thread title:

?

No? Just me! Okay.

I always think of this if it's 'cartoon' characters you're asking who come to mind as associations, with apologies to Kermit, Miss Piggy & the rest of the Muppets, no offence intended by the 'cartoon' reference, ehehe:

Anyone who thinks Les is a jumped up little shit knows sweet fuck all about this club tbh, hopefully it was a clarkie attempt because if not i'd put good money on you being a JCL, he's had more involvement and influence within the club than some bloody managers have at other clubs!

He washes the socks not formulate tactics. No kit man at any club should be commenting on managers past or present.

Exactly right and 100% correct.

-- Sun Mar 30, 2014 1:46 pm --

I couldn't really give a crap if the kit man is happy because he gets a good morning, what a load of bollocks.

Exactly this. What jumped up little shit he is.
You obviously recognise a kindred spirit...

Chappy is actually a qualified coach and former league manager as it happens.

And he was so good as a coach and manager he is now washing socks for a living.

Blue Moon Rising was fair because it criticised how badly Mancini's arrival was handled. Sadly the approach for Pellegrini was also leaked but he wasn't formally appointed until the summer. The club were its own worst enemy back then with the PR disasters and thankfully those embarrassing stories are no longer appearing.

I thought we had already established that the "leak" came from Spain and from a top Club ??
Where's that come from
Have you got a link?

I'd rather Txiki explain why we replaced the World Class Carlos Tevez with the injury plagued Jovetic.

Tevez was miles off world class when we sold him. He was overweight and hadn't influenced games properly for nearly two years. He was also a troublemaker who saw himself as bigger than the club, and a player who's abilities went directly against what the team tried to do: he is all about the solo run, not the retention of the ball. There's not a cat in hell's chance I'd swap him back.

I know the thread ain't really about this and I can see the reasons why Tevez was moved on but I've gotta dispute that point - Tevez's ball retention is exceptional.
