the problem with zonal is that your weaker players in the air can be exploited, in our case its Yaya, he doesn't judge the flight of the ball well and doesn't realize he's the "active" player before its too late (see ajax)

With man marking your best headers seek the ball and actively try to get on the end of it, so there is no confusion on whose taking charge of the situation.
Both can work but it depends on the players

you can apply zonal marking, man to man or a mixed system but of course you must do it properly, the key is stay focused all the time. I prefer zonal marking but I´m not against a mixed one.

I would not be at all surprised if this was not already a done deal with contract signed, I just wonder whether it may be being delayed while we nail down a couple more signings

I'm thinking the same and if we are trying to nail down a couple more signings then it must mean we are very close to completing the deals for the players.

we need to finalise the Navas deal and then there is Isco and Cavani to finish

if chelsea has a very real interest in Cavani then I can see this deal being done very quick it just a case of who hits the release clause first ... either us or them

Then they started asking about his relationship with Mancini and did he fall out. Vincent handled himself well saying no manager in the world is without faults but he has learnt something different with every manager he has had inc Mancini
