My understanding is that he is on paid leave from Malaga until the end of the month and so cannot formally become involved with the press or any other matters MCFC-related until 1st July. It seems quite simple to me but what do I know! A club announcement to avoid any further confusion seems sensible and will doubtless have been agreed with Malaga who obviously need to secure a new manager without appearing to disrespect the former one. Can everyone please chill out now?
That seems very plausible. Given that Bergeristan's role covers the summer recruitment, Pellegrini might as well take the opportunity for a summer holiday before getting down to work.
I prefer it when we cut out the hype and deal with these things in a low profile way. New managers waving a club shirt about always looks a bit naff.
