Seems a long time ago Rammy , but it was Neville Chamberlain , not Atlee!
I'll get my cloak!
Yeah,Tories screwing it up again!

Think you'll find Churchill won us the war! ;-)

I think you'll find it was the footsoldiers of the Allies, including ANZACS , darfetd commonwealth soldiers, our European allies (including the French, Dutch and belgian Resistances) , the USA etc etc

Churchill was a grumpy bugger from privileged Oxfordshire -based, high aristocracy. I can't speak for the rest of the country in the early 20th century but my family tell me that he was hated in Wales (strike breaking by ordering in the cavalry and infantry with fixed bayonets to attack strikers , which they di , with ammo , not just bayonets).. he hadn't seen 'military' action himself since a rather brief stint in the Boer War (50 years previously) as a war correspondent (= journalist)

Like most top military dogs in the modern era it was .. "Go and thump him .. I'll hold your coat"

Please...

Let's keep this o topic

Earth shettering as it may sound.. Churchill was not universally loved

Now can we get back Pellers , please

You may have a point there K,

The press are unending in their stupidity and mischief-making..

let's clear the Jose waters.. wait for a day or so for the knicker wetting to calm down

and interesting to note that our little Potuguese egomaniac seems to be undergoing a major rehabilitation by the lizads and their zoo keepres, in terms of acceptability

No floods of ' Are you ruining football?' questions

>>> so the childish panto continues with City ("Booooo" ) cast as the Mr moneybags ' villains...

What a lame, pathetic joke

Errr hhrrrumppp
errrr .we're serious sports 'journalists'

No you're not , you are just peddelers of penny-dreadfulls..

Target audience people wityh a mental age of 7 ????

Actually I hjave more faith in people

Try offering informed BALANCED opinion an just see whether people can make an informed jusdgement for themselves...

Just TRY FOR ONCE for example , to let go and stop the spinning...
(Dare YOU?))...

You might surprise yourselves

You might actually come out smelling of respecability rather than the smell of shit on your noses

It won't be July Khaldoon would look a clown. We will announce it this week just wouldn't expect a press conference

You missed out that he was captured by the Boers, twice!

Churchill actually did some war service during WW1 on the Western Front as commander of the 6th Battalion of the Royal Scots Fusiliers after resigning as First Lord of the Admiralty when he made a complete arse of the Dardanelles campaign.
