Guillem Balague pisses me right off.

Warms too much to the rags for my liking and v. good chance he leaked the story of Mancini/Pellegrini in Spain after a tip off from Barca - as he says in that post "As I published exclusively on Friday 9th, he will be the new City manager."

He was the original media outlet, it appears. So what, should he have sat on the story?

I think that Sandro Rosell fed him the story, in order to make a little more mischief for us. First the Soriano "spygate" scandal, and now a new, even more horrific one - we sacked a manager...!!

Hope he is getting ready for a busy summer. A lot to work on to be ready for kick-off next season in mid-August.
Alarm bells ringing in my ears. Not seen the like of that since Hughes and Sven. Thought Mancini had drummed that careless couldn't be bothered attitude out of the club for good.

I had become convinced over the last few days that we were right to sack Mancini because the relationship with the players had broken down, but if that is the result then it's a disastrous move giving lazy players the green light to just pick up a pay cheque and amble through a game without a care in the world.

Today's match was a dead rubber. It will have no real impact going forward. Unless, of course, Brian Kidd is going to manage us next season.
I thought the team selection and subs were odd. But the lack of commitment from the players should send shudders down the spine of every City fan. Unprofessional and not worthy of so-called Champions.

Performances prove that all was not well with the players and Mancini and most of the first team were Mancini's signings. Look what a bit of top class man management can do with some of the teams we faced this season alone. I am not suggesting we should soft soap them, but by the same token we should rule with an iron fist.
The argument has been posed as Mancini versus Players. Today made me think mancini should have been given authority to deal with these players, and instead we've given into them, and this is what you get as a result.

Hopefully it's a one-off to be forgotten, but I don't think games like that can be ignored. We've got a number of players who are happy not to give 100% in a game. Those players however talented have no place at a football club looking to win trophies. I don't care if Yaya Toure has just signed a new contract. I'd seriously consider selling him after the last week. I thought mancini made a mistake in playing him at Wembley when he was recovering from a hamstring injury, but no he just couldn't be bothered.

Not good enough Yaya Toure. Nowhere near.

last season we were unbeatable at home. It would be unthinkable for City to just give that home record up without a fight. Slippery slope, and big question mark against the character of the players.

Nope we should judge what the new man does, and going off the comments by some of his former players and his performances with clubs that didn't have our resources, it is pretty encouraging.

His record is encouraging. But he isn't here yet. And even if he was, I'm not sure I trust this group after they let us down at Wembley and today.

Kompany, Aguero etc all talk a good game. But when it comes down to it they haven't delivered. Empty words boys

Over to you. Was it a one-season wonder, or do you really have the stuff of Champions? Today was pathetic

If I hadn't read the press or what was said on here all week and simply watched the match I'd say they didn't look like a bunch of players happy they had got their manager sacked. I still think we made a huge mistake.

I think it was the right choice, it was clear that we were regressing under Mancini.

To be fair to Aguero, Marvin, he's had three prolonged spells out through injury this season, it's been disjointed and he's never really got going. Last season he was at it from day one. Lets cut him a little slack, as I'm sure we'll see a return to form next year.

Mancini create a winning machine at home, a result like this against Norwich would have been unthinkable under his reign.

I don't think any previous managers who have come from La Liga have done well. They simply dont have the focus on the defense.
