Pellegrini - The English Managers Syndrome

And that makes us likely victors does it in your opinion?

I've seen nothing of recent form that suggests we will be more likely than Arsenal to win the league.

Yes, if we're favorites it makes us likely victors. That's the point, we are favorites.

We sit 2nd in the form table. Above both Arsenal and Leicester.

Firstly some fans do need a reality check, you being one of them.

Secondly, Pep will certainly believe players will be coached on every aspect of the game, that's why he is the top coach in the world.

Thirdly, who keeps picking the lazy twat in a two that fails to track any runners?

You think Pep will waste his time coaching u9's basics? I personally believe he'll expect his defenders to be able to carry out the very basics.

The manager keeps picking Ya Ya, and so he should.

It's funny how our defence is actually no worse than our closest rivals, yet it's going to cost us.

Fans do need to get perspective, a lot on here sound like Rags. Second in the league, title favorites, cup semi, topped our CL group and in the FA Cup. Yes, it's all going so wrong, get him sacked.

City fans are fast becoming a joke. Chelsea fans were singing Mourinho's name and they were just outside the bottom three.

I think we'll reach the CL quarters at worst, most likely win the league, we've made one semi at least and I think we'll do well in the FA cup.

Take the first five or six games away when we didn't concede and how is it, statistically?

Why would you do that? You seem desperate to be right, despite being very wrong. Our defence is comparable to our title rivals. Despite missing our two most influential defenders for most of the season.

Pellegrini was the manager for the first 6 games wasn't he? He organised and coached that defence, he didn't coach being caught out by a throw in or dropping a simple catch. He certainly didn't coach a linesman to miss a 6 yard offside.

My point, if Hart throws a harmless cross into the strikers path or a linesman misses an offside that is 6 yards off, these are beyond the managers controle, would you not agree?

For me that's the nub of the problem keeping playing yaya in a two away from home, it's killing us game after away game
No wonder Delph was subbed he must have been bollocksed

He got it so so wrong tonight im afraid and it isnt good enough.

KdB, Silva and Yaya are offering this side virtually nothing away from home right now and to continue picking them over others is wrong.

For the first time this season, if it wasn't for knowing pep is coming in id sack him right now but he is so there is no point.

IF he tightened up midfield. Offered the defence more protection. With the flair players we have, everything else would take care
of itself.

You disagree? With what? Fact? Our defence is statistically no worse than our main rivals. Spurs aside. Do you disagree that Joe Hart keeps winning the golden gloves too? A good majority of goals we concede are gross personal errors.

Off the top my head, Hart threw one in against Norwich, the throw in yesterday, two painfully offside goals at Spurs, Kolarov's fuck up at Watford, the moronic free kick that Otamendi gave away at Spurs, there's 6 goals that any manager could do nothing about. Knock them 6 off, we have the best defence in the league.

Not that simple I know, but the point remains, our woeful defence that may cost us the league is 1 goal worse than Arsenal's, the team we are supposed to be losing the league too. Surely everyone can see the idiocy in that arguement?
Our defence is shambolic, yet Arsenal's is title worthy, does 1 goal make that much difference???

'No worse' - Spurs and Leicester are not the standard. This team was built to challenge for the Champs League!

Anyone with eyes can see our defence isn't good. Pelligrini isn't getting the best out of the team from defence to attack. Simple as that as far as I'm concerned

Play him for the last thirty minutes when his legs against tired legs (plus hurt pride) will make him buzz around as he did against Palace.

Not in a two. Not away from home against a skilful and energetic side.

Exactly!! Toure would be excellent as an impact sub.
