Pelligrini ensures legend status

Yes that was Navas but according to bluemoan experts he can’t cross past the first defender.
Know what? - I totally suck at football (well, not really, as I was going to play for Riverside CA prior to my transfer to UCLA years and years ago).

But - sucky as I am - I'm pretty sure that I could coincidentally hit the ball towards goal in an intended pass that once in awhile worked out. If I were really fast - I'm not - then I'd be the perfect doppelganger to Navas - extremely fast - getting into just the right position where... you'd want anyone in the side other than Navas to have the ball.

Don’t mean to derail this thread but that reminded me of his goal against Spuds . Think it was under first minute and he almost blew his balls while going Bruce lee on the corner flag :)

Pound for pound, squad-wise, and given the at times almost impossible situation he had to work in (knowing he was only keeping the seat warm until Pep decided he wanted to manage us) for me he was and is our greatest manager of the last 40 years.

A City legend in every possible sense of the word.

Bold as fuck this post.

Pretty sure that this is the guy who didn't even know how goal difference mattered in a UCL league match against Bayern.

Brought in to steady the ship in the interim as we awaited Pep following Mancini's fallout with the squad. To Peller's credit he did right the ship... for one season. After which he lost the squad entirely - unable to motivate the team.

I don't like Pellers. I do not at all appreciate his inattention to detail. I do not understand why he cannot motivate players. I do not at all think that he's got any sort of great tactical/strategic nous.

For me - he's an OK manager - who prior to his tenure at City - had some good runs.

While at City - he did re-energize players who were fed up with Mancini - for one season - but so too would anyone not named, "Mancini." And the following season it was even worse than it was under Mancini.

He won three trophies and in 2014 his team scored the highest number of goals in all competitions in the history of English football. Not bad for an ok manager.
