I've now started to think, so what it's a penalty...its like being awarded a corner these days.
Let’s wait and seeI don't see what relevance it is to him taking. a penalty kick. Presumably you don't thinking would be any good based on him kicking to touch twice in a game. Otherwise why bring it up? If I have got the wrong end of the stick please explain.
We score about the same number from each! I hope we don’t go to pens on Sunday!I've now started to think, so what it's a penalty...its like being awarded a corner these days.
We are good at shoot outs.We score about the same number from each! I hope we don’t go to pens on Sunday!
To be fair we used to be good at pensWe are good at shoot outs.
Keepers never save pens in the top corner. Partly because if they’re perfectly placed they’re impossible to save, partly because keepers always dive low. But if players only, or nearly always, put them in the top corner, wouldn’t that change? Keepers would dive high rather than low. They still wouldn’t save a perfectly struck penalty, but the margin for error would greatly reduce. So the pressure on the penalty taker to put them absolutely right into the top corner would increase. And then they would start missing.Practice putting them in the top corner either side. Keepers never save them.
Practice, repetition, it isn't rocket science. Christ knows what's up with our lot.
