Penalty Taker

Who should take penalties if Haaland is not on the pitch?

It wouldn't surprise me that day after day on the training ground Mahrez notches up more successful pens than anyone!

But the one who should take them is the one who can hit the ball hardest. Shearer's technique outshines anyone jumping like a rabbit with a carrot up its arse, or a stuttering run that semi-stops or any other variation. Just belt the bloody case off it, but make sure the case is still on as it passes the goal line.
This man talks sense.

It's a lot of goals to spunk away, those missed pens. You know teams will continue to play with 10 behind the ball against us. Therefore we've got to use all the advantages we can. Sometimes it's route one Eddie to Haaland, back of the net. Equally set pieces, we need to be trickier to defend against, though apparently our corner conversion is pretty decent!

Penalties though, it's fking difficult enough having them given for us! Then, to waste that opportunity to score, it's bordering on negligence.

Mahrez has been extremely poor this season, don't think he should be starting big games really runs at players or takes them on. Passing backwards or sideways when there are better options in front, arrrgh?!!!! To give him spot kicks is crazy, if the Viking isn't playing, it's got to be Gundo then Kev, maybe Reuben? It's a poor situation and needs to be addressed.

As soon as I saw Mahrez grab the ball I just slumped in my seat and resigned myself to not cheering a goal. I’d of been more surprised if it went in. Can only prey that we never need him to take one when it counts as I don’t think I could cope.

CL Final penalty shoot out. Mahrez to take the last penalty to win the CL in Istanbul. :-(

Greedy because he shoots from a penalty? Also not sure he’s shit? He was top scorer in the best team in the league last season.
Shit because the average conversion rate for penalties is around 76% and Mahrez's average is that he misses one on three. Greedy because, even knowing he's shit, he doesn't hand the ball to Gundo who is 15 for 17 in his career.

Apparently the 25th penalty miss under Pep's stewardship , not sure who picks the penalty takers , Pep or the players but it needs changing because that is a shocking statistic , dont think any particular penalty miss has cost us a trophy but it could have made our lives easier , like West Ham and the Dippers away from home , we could have had both titles sewn up and not gone through the mill on the last day of the season.

Either Kev or give Alvarez a chance...he certainly looks clinical when given the opportunities from open play.

Only a month ago Gundo slotted in a perfect penalty v England at Wembley.
Mind boggling what is going on with us on pens.
For how much Mahrez contributes generally, we may as well have Mario in the wing just in case we get a pen
