Disagree, he would be in my first 5 takers of any 11 he is in. He's a great taker with balls of steel.

We only have a handful of reliable takers at most. Haaland, Álvarez, KDB... that's about it. Maybe Rodri or Foden.

I can imagine Rodri took responsibility and wanted to take one but it is strange how he has a clean strike of the ball and opts to pass it instead on pens.

I'm happy with Erling taking in game. Very risky bringing Eddie forward for pens, especially when we've been so poor at defending counter attacks for the most part this year.

wanted to avoid the pens at all cost as I had no trust we would win on pens especially vs seasoned CL pro's like Real.
also based on the fact how 99% conversion rate is reached on pens taken vs City in PL since years. about 1 missed from last 30 or so against us quite a joke ratio.

Foden was excellent as was Eddy. Alvarez always good.

Means in a game we will always be fine. Pen shootout was bad luck. We go again.
