People cheering when Bravo caught the ball

Rubbish. He must know he's been playing shit and letting in saveable shots so shouldn't be expecting the crowd to give him their full support. If he has the right temperament he'd use ironic cheering as an incentive to play better. It's better than booing.

He should expect our support, he plays for our club, he gets enough stick from the media etc, we should be getting behind him as opposed to belittling him.

The day we start booing our own players is the day I will stop going to games.
We will have become rags.
Simply unacceptable.

Booing our own players is nothing new. Even in our title winning season under Pellegrini where we played some of the best football in the history of our club there were fans booing Garcia.

I must say I was pleased that Garcia turned his form around for us in the end. It was after the Chelsea game where he kept Hazard in the back pocket that he established himself in the side. IIRC he pushed Fernandinho out of the side towards the end of that season.

No player deserves to be booed by there own fans, especially when they give 100%.

It's not ideal, but some people are always going to groan when a player does something useless if it's happening a lot and there will always be ironic cheering when they eventually get it right. The players aren't stupid and realise that not everybody is going to give them unqualified support when they're playing crap.

I understand where you're coming from but I don't see the point in what people are trying to achieve by doing so, I'm certainly no happy clapper like some fans who will never allow a player to be put down etc but that last night really annoyed me.

Don't worry, it was just 'Banter' apparently, good ol' dry witted banter.
Oh in that case it's fine.
I am sure Claudio will have seen the funny side of the fans taking the piss...just what he needs when the media are vilifying his every move.
Brilliant ;-)

Bravo clapped the fans behind him after the game and seemed to like the plaudits after the save.

I was right behind the goal and it was more of the fact the ball reached him, the fan at the back launched it pretty far so rather than the fact he's shit, it was that it reached him.

Don't know, just my take.

We should identify them, point them out and hound them out of the ground.
you're right, time to call these fuckers out.
if there are any ironmongers on here, perhaps one of them might like to make a cattle-brand type of thingy of the word "supporter".
it'd look splendid burned onto a few foreheads.

Me too, I bet he loved it, always had a good sense of humour that guy.

Absolute bollocks. You're no better than the opposition fans... It is gets under the skin of our OWN fkin players and makes it even harder for them at a time when we need to be behind our team. Instead you join the opposition fans in jeering our players.

You saw the Shite that Sterling got and how it affected his game... You want this for City players?

And give me a single example of Jeering our own players has improved them.

Having said all that, those away fans spent a lot of money going to Leicester, understandable they booed or whatever, I might have even done it myself, but ffs cold light of day it is counter productive.

Didn't say anything about jeering our own players. There's bound to be some groans when they do something shite; that's human nature. I was talking about the ironic cheering when they do what they're supposed to do.

Clichy was getting it tight from a few in SL3 last night. After his first misplaced pass there was a shout along from me of get him off he's shite. Then fuck off clichy you offer nothing. Yet sterling gives the ball away a lot but nobody screaming at him.

I remember Steve Daley getting a big cheer when he played the ball back to Corrigan after he was to blame for a howler the game before. Daley, who had a tough time at City mainly due to his million pound transfer from Wolves did wat in my opinion was the only right move: He smiled and applauded the fans.

I feel sorry for Bravo. Bravo, not English, came in for probably one of the most popular English players in our squad. And was thrown in the deep at Old Shiteford, not the easiest of debuts. Fact is Bravo was brought in by Pep due to the fact he is a far better option in a team that plays Pep's way. Unfortunately so far Pep's teams have hardly been able to play that kind of game. Bravo is not a better goalkeeper than Hart, nor is Hart is better one, but they are simply different. Even if he's experienced, it's still a different country different league, different languague and to make it harder, a different backline either 3 or 4 in front of him every other match.

If I read the comments on the Bravo performances thread, it's easy to sense a near abnormal kind of bashing he gets from our fans. The media simply picked it up and are after him. That's where the City fans should back him as much as possible, even the ones that think he is either shité or the ones that simply want Hart back for emotional reasons. I mentioned the Steve Daley incident, yet Bravo is in a far more vulnerale position and fact is he himself can't help being put in that position. That is mainly the Pep's responsibillity. It doesn't take away that no matter you like him or not, Bravo at this point needs our support probably more than anyone else. The ones who did have a go, ment as banter or in a serious way, he is our number one goalkeeper and Pep sooner will walk than replacing him right now. He said it in his own words: Bravo will make mistakes because of the way he plays and I want my team to play, but that will be ok because with Bravo the team will eventually play a lot better and create more chances and goals.

They were last season though. He got slaughtered at Wembley in a final!

SS3 does have a lot of this type of voice.

watched MOTD for some reason last night, dont usually watch the crap because I prefer to actually see some match highlights ! A few of the goals that went in at various grounds I thought had bravo done that some of our fans would have said "should av got that bravo"... Not saying that bravo hasnt made mistakes but most goals he should have saved according to some fans.
Should have saved both our goals last night tbf.

See Lloris against the rags, Bravo would have been accused of trying to get out of the way.. Yet Lloris is in goals it's unstoppable. I reckon Bravo would have been blamed for the Palace goal too. Not the World class doughnut thief though.

I had a rant to anyone in earshot when it happened. Absolutely pathetic thing for any so called supporter to do: it was the antithesis of support.
Bravo has quite often been the antithesis of goalkeeping.

Nothing like getting behind the team.
