People to Thank for Where We Are Now

Fucking hell, I'm not thankful for a lot of those people. Thankful for people to do with City are the sorta people that bring a lump to my throat with emotion that 'if it wasn't for them' Mark Hughes, Sven, Sun Jihai and a load of others mentioned don't even come in the same bracket of Dickov and Goater, or those like Horlock and Weikens who were probably too good for the dark days but still stuck with us.

I saw this thread, only thought of one person and no ones mentioned him.

Jim Cassell.

Some that aren't on the original list:

Cassell - for all the academy graduates.
SWP - great when we were shit.
Wardle - kept the club from dieing.
Benarbia - class.
Distin - kept us up with Dunne, Barton, James.
Horlock, Wiekens, Cooke, Edghill and the rest of the Wembley winning team - for being a part of the memorable game.
Tiatto - another bright spark when we wasn't great.
Bellamy - class.
Mancini - for getting rid of Robinho.

Francis Lee....Started the move to being a more professional set-up, brokered the move to the new stadium, but what was he thinking of when he appointed Alan Ball......(Ike Immel, instead of Tony Coton !!, I ask you)

arne arason - for keeping us in our greatest ever fight back
the trio of eyal berkovic, swp and ali benarbia for sending us up

me and you for not giving up

^^this^^ And Cassell is a great shout too.

However, sorry for being a miserable git here but isnt it a bit too early for acceptance speeches? We havent actually achieved anything yet.
Well, we've come a long way in 10 years so I thought we'd gain a little perspective.

paulo wanchope for his headed goal against newcastle a few seasons ago, that removed the fear of going down from the end of our season!
