Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

That is 100% true, no arguement there.
I starting attending matches from the age of 13 in the early 1960's before the Mercer / Allison period. We were a pretty rubbish team but attending matches became a habit for two main reasons - it was affordable and you could stand with your mates.
It was a social occasion. Even though the football was rubbish we enjoyed our day out. Attending games becomes a habit and you become a fan for life.
What chance have today's teens got of getting to see matches at £45 a ticket?
At every match I attend now, particularly at night matches, I see more and more foreign supporters. I guess they are attracted by City's recent success, Pep's management and the signing of Erling Haaland. But aren't they just like the plastics that we hate for supporting the rags and dippers? Will they still be supporting the blues in 50 years time? Will they fuck? If City don't find a way to connect with local kids there will be a heavy price to pay at some time in the future.

Maybe the club should supply us with cushions on every seat so we can hurl them onto the pitch every time our Keystone Cop defense produces a Grand Canyon sized blunder, like they do in Espana

We have become the very thing we despise, local working class fans priced out and replaced by Johnny foreigners who seems to have unlimited cash but are not going to sing their hearts out for the lads.A Group of ‘Soccer’ fans at my work UsA decided to go and watch English premier league games this weekend and got four very expensive tickets for Arsenal v Rags and four slightly less expensive Palace v Barcodes, money money mon

You are 100% correct. A friend of min (local lad) asked me to buy him a ticket for last night as an additional on my season ticket. Went upstairs 2 weeks ago and was told no I am unable to purchase additional tickets, whilst at the same time 2 really busy tours were taking places all foreign nationals and I am sure if one of them would have asked it would have been fine.

Last night we had 2000 empty seats and I still was not allowed to purchase a ticket for an additional person.

Maybe the manager wants to start taking swipes internally before having a go at the fans.

If honest Pep could be on a massive wind up being the sarcastic fucker that he is.

weeks of press saying we are off form, not the same, our place has become sombre or indifferent he may just be trolling us all.

He was hardly what you could call fewmin during that rant.

After all Izzy was pissing her sides when it went back to the studio

They want cash, he wants atmosphere and never the twain shall meet. I try to get a CL & League game double when I fly over and always think the league game is a much better atmosphere as it’s got less tourists, but these days I’m classed as a tourist fan myself

I don't think I've ever booed our players. Although I may have sung along to "you're not fit to wear the shirt at Grimsby away"; not sure but I like to think not. I do recall the look on Nicky Reed's face: he was livid.
I booed the team once that was at half time against Birmingham yearsago ,I felt a right twat immediately never done it since

There was a lot to take in during Peps little speech last night, so I resisited the temptation to reply, but let it set in.
It felt like a coded message to the squad in many areas, feels something isn't right and he wants more urgency from his players.

However, having a go at the fans? With the greatest respect Pep, you can fuck right off on that one.

Atmosphere this season has been terrific apart from just very recently and I feel the reason for that has been the turgid 'pass pass pass until reaching the edge of the opponents box and doing fuck all' type of game that Pep has been playing, doubling up with a defense that seem to concede a goal after every opposition attack. Sometimes it's like watching a shit game of chess.

Last night, I hate to say it, but we started to play like we used to with Sane in the team, or the Dippers from a couple of years ago, speed, pace and on the break and the crowd responded. Exciting football.

Pep should remember that over the past few games, some of his decision making has been terrible, we've talked about it in the standa, but never called him out directly.

Booing at half time? If I'm paying £70 a ticket to watch our defense implode yet again, conceeding 2 quick goals or watch the ref cheating us, then damn right, I'll boo if I want to.

You want passionate fans? City have done their best to price us out over the last decade, chasing the football tourist who spend all match in their half and half scarves on their phones capturing content. Not sure those new advertising boards add much atmosphere or noise either.

So Josep, next time you go on a rant, call out PigMOL, call out VAR, call out the shit refs, call out the pathetic timewasting we endure from shit teams when they come to ours, call out the teams who constantly foul us, call out the ticket prices, call out the constant expansion of the exec areas, etc, stop calling out your fans.

Thanks for giving the gimps at BT and Sky a rod to beat our back with.
