Gundogan was excellent in the run in and one of the reasons we didn't miss much Ferna and Kevin. Remember Ferna missed many games since the end of February. Gundo signed a new contract recently. Foden will get his chances soon, don't worry about that. Gundo contributed more than him last season though and deserved to start the season ahead in the pecking order. These things are important when managing a squad full with quality and winners. But if Foden performs better, he will replace Gundo and Dave in the starting XI already this season.
Foden is still very young for a midfielder. Scholes didn't have a single start at that age and Iniesta wasn't doing better either.
I'm honestly just struggling to understand why anyone would think picking our two least mobile centre mids against a team like Norwich would be a good idea.
No argument with this but, on recent showings from Gundogan, Foden should at the very least least get a look-in.
The midfield we picked can’t run. Norwich has the ideal game plan V us - 1)hope City don’t pick their best player 2) pack the box 3) hope City miss chances 4) run, run and run again and 5) take what few chances come their way
Very easy in hindsight to say that. The team selected was more than capable of beating Norwich, they just needed to wake up and playAfter a superb performance against Scotland and probably flying high in confidence, Pep decides to not start Kevin de Bruyne.
That was the start of the shite today.
He had to play, had to!
Fucking amazing isn't it, first loss since January and now our coaches judgement is being questioned by people who really don't know what's going on behind the scenesFirst defeat in the league since January, obviously the day to start a Pep thread, for him to come and get some bluemoon advice
