I think a lot of people underestimate the role of injuries. After Kompany retired our first choice CBs were supposed to be Laporte and Stones. From 12 months between them they have missed 9, and that might be generous. Otamendi has seriously regressed and Dinho isn't a CB in the first place, apart from being 34 y.o. In addition to that Mendy has struggled again, Zinch was injured 2 months too, Angelino wasn't good. There have been also many small injuries, Raz had to play many games because Sane was out...

Thought Pep had to use more often 3 at the back and experiment with Kyle at CB. He has his reasons to prefer other options though. Shit seasons happen. We can still rescue this one and make it a big success story but are the energy and determination of the players there to do it?

It’s clearly known within the club what is going on but this isn’t the time to raise it.

The reality is we were indeed excellent, but missed countless chances and conceded whenever they decided to shoot.

Today was on us. Take the opportunities and we, deservedly, win that game at a canter.
He was asked a question and he felt it was part of the answer, tbf he can raise it whenever he wants,in a couple of months time it will be drowned out by all the dipper wanking

I call Sane a first team player , so if you do we have had out 4 first team players in every game this season, quite frankly i would have been overjoyed if we were only 6 point behind when Laporte came back, but we are not and i put that down to FA cheating, now win one trophy hopefully more and keep 2nd and i will be very happy

The league is long gone so why not start looking to next season now and building towards that. I mean is Dinho really our longterm CB. What is the harm in getting Garcia in there and potentially saving ourselves 80mil in the summer?

Foden too, is a midfield of Gundogan AND Rodri really going to take us to the next step/get us back to where we were... Maybe just maybe it's the most talented kid he's seen(Messi excluded as he's the best player in every position) that sits on the bench every week.

We are still in with a chance of winning three competitions, including the elusive Champions League

Something just isn’t quite clicking and those fine margins have been costly in games this season.

Pep needs to instil the winning mentality in his strongest team, and go balls out to win the silverware that is available. It would be foolish to do otherwise

We are preparing the team for the CL where youngsters are not likely to feature anyway.

One of Liverpool's key advantages is that they have an extremely settled team. They manage to get away with not rotating much due to exceptional fitness levels and lack of injuries to the most important players. Their medical and fitness department is better or they are just much luckier.

How are we preparing our best team for the Champions League?

That brain-dead wanker Otamendi is still playing and could take a shit in Pep's wife's mouth while she sleeps and Pep will still find a way to give him minutes.

On top of that, we're still persisting with a ridiculously slow midfield pairing who have started together in nearly every match we've lost this season.

Best team my arse.

that’s the problem; they’ll always be an excuse why we don’t give youth a chance. For this reason, we shouldn’t be surprised when they want to leave. I thought Foden should have played yesterday. And I just don’t get playing Otamendi when we have a brilliant talent as Garcia sat on the bench.

The players and the manager are concentrated on the CL, Garcia and Foden won't play against Real. We need a settled team and we are preparing the team for Real.

First Pep will need to curb the away leg experiments if we we're to stand a chance of winning the champions league.
