Yeah - he pushed Sancho and Sane out of the club because he wanted Sanchez/Marhrez; two of the best young talents in Europe will prosper elsewhere because Pep is so insecure in his capacity to compete with other coaches with equal resources and fully develop the young talent at his disposal into key players, he has to stockpile £60m players to ensure he has the advantage over the course of the season.

Mad isn’t it?

Could have done with the donkey up front tonight with his 20 goals/24 games Champions League record - he’s been to more Champions League finals than our club, but not good enough to play for us, obviously.

He apparently doesn’t fit our style - well perhaps it’s time to change it, because it clearly doesn’t work at the top level; we’ve replaced Joe Hart - one of our only players who’s ever looked like they actually belong in the competition - with a clown, and elements of our fanbase ridicule the likes of Henderson and Kane, yet both have been key elements of teams who’ve gone further in the competition than us.

The Cult Of Pep have been so brainwashed that they will worship and defend him even to the detriment of Manchester City - you’d think he’d taken us up from Division 2 himself, pro bono.

The donkey that went missing against Iceland? It wasn't Hodgson's finest hour but the team wasn't better. Including Harry Hotspur

Despite Liverpool having the best attack its rather strange that we have outscored them during the past 3 seasons. Thats without the bestest striker in the Premier League ever not playing for us. (The one even the utd are passing on. They do like throwing money on unsuitable players). Anyway back to or current manager Pep Guardiola

Wrong. Sancho wanted to go even before Pep even took charge. As it turned out he was tapped up by Borussia Dortmund.

Was nothing to do with the fact we had Sterling, Sane in his position, had already signed Bernardo that summer and were also pursuing Sanchez?

Dortmund only came in after we refused to do business with United and Spurs, two clubs he was willing to join - and would have preferred - to join.

Got to 200 club goals faster than Aguero, and has a better Champions League/International record. He’s an elite footballer - everything backs it up, apart from that Iceland game, obviously.....

So has Alfonso Alves and Mario Jardel. Stick Kane in the Scottish Premier League(or weaker league) and he would be putting up numbers to Messi and Ronaldo. Doesn't mean I would want him at City even if replicated that. Anyway this is the Pep thread (or are you trolling?)

Nope Bernardo, Pep or Sanchez wasn't the problem. Dortmund tapped him up good and proper promsing a quicker route and didn't want stick around.

cruyjff would be embarassed with the way pep set his team tonight...adjusting to lyon instead of playing to his teams strength, awful stuff.

Also, him and txiki should study their master a bit more. The first thing Johan did whem he got to barcelona was to promote youth players, who feel the club and the badge, that can bring leadership and then went fishing for basque players, who are tough mfers physically and mentally. You gotta have balls of steel and courage to play attacking football and not get affected by mistakes. Then, with a solid foundation you upgrade with some world class players to get to the next level.

I know things are very different in regards to the transfer market and all but the first teams where pep played had virtuosity but also a toughness and leadership on and off the pitch that city is lacking when the going gets tough. The tiki taka thing is great when its working but it required a perfect storm and generation to dominate europe and the world.

The gaffer will have time to reflect but for this city european thing to work he will have to be more ruthless with the players and aim to a higher standard. This season really felt like a step back to his first year at city, not good enough

One of the worst posts I've ever read on here.
