we dont have the players for the swashbuckling style we had. So I understand The new pragmatic approach but I have a problem with his in game management and forward selections.
how would bringing on a fresh foden have impeded our defence? Sterling was getting nothing as usual. Mahrez is wank against any decent opponent or when he is left isolated which yesterday’s tactics dictated. another poor choice.

Funny thing is lots of City fans think that Pep doesnt have a plan B. When he uses a plan B those same fans moan that it's not City and City should be going gunho and sticking with plan A and get hit on the counter attack !

pep does have all the tools in his bag and hate's losing that is why he plays to win
but i think his time in england and in the premier league its now dawned on him that champions league football you need a bit more in the locker than just trying to out score teams

the defence will only be judged by results vs the better teams home and away. city have slipped up to many times trying to outscore the better teams ? but the other teams have also have learnt how to play city and pep
this is what made him rethink his plans this season and city do look solid at the back

i also think that if we have aguero playing instead of jesus then the system will work great ? it needs a top draw striker to hurt the better teams. that is what missing from the derby game yesterday aguero would have scored the chance jesus missed

I don’t blame Pep too much for yesterday in terms of the set up. He was clearly wary of being done on the counter, particularly given last season where we got done twice by it. I don’t think we were particularly cautious though, not compared to United and I thought Neville was wrong on the commentary. We were still operating twenty yards further up the pitch than they were and created the much better chances.

Ultimately results drive perception though - had one of De Bruyne or Mahrez scored, it would have been seen as a great win away at a team we struggled against last season and a sign of losing that naivety of leaving ourselves too open. The only change I’d have made was bring Sterling off around the same time as Mahrez.

I didn’t like the football particularly. I could understand it though and part of me is quite happy that we can play that style when we need to. If we did it every game then I’d be concerned, I’m more concerned by individual performances than I am pep at the mo though.

He seems so worried about the counter attack that’s he’s drastically changed our style something I thought Pep wouldn’t do. We couldn’t trust our defence last season.. but now we can. 6 big games we’ve had this season and we’ve only won one of them. That’s barely top 4 standard

Get what your saying but in the champions league apart from against Monaco when we weren’t ready anyway he hasn’t really tried to out score teams he’s over thought it and basically bottled it rather than playing our natural game against inferior teams and it’s cost us each time.

Change tactics -> Why not stick to what we know? Pep tinkers too much. Oversmart wanker.

Don't change anything -> Why not try something else? It's getting stale. Fraud manager.

Don't start Foden -> Why not start Foden? We've conceded 0 goals in the 70 matches that Foden has started and scored 436 goals. Bastard ****. Pep doesn't know what it means to be manc.

Start Foden -> Of course Foden is not performing well, he's exhausted and overplayed. Pep ruining players again.
