When i saw the starting lineups yesterday i went wtf, did he lose it? We can't be in danger of winning PL, that is bad. But then i realized it was a perfect thing to do.
Rest the players for the 3 difficult and very important games that are coming. We could afford not winning yesterday's game. And give confidence and some minutes to players like Kun, Torres etc that will be needed in this marathon.
3 January 2021 we had this year's 1st game versus Chelsea. Then, shcedule was:

21 games in 71 days.
That is 1 game every 3.4 days.
On a season that started late September. Insane!
So if we are gonna try for winning 4, a rotation like yesterday will be needed again and was needed earlier anyway.
Seeing the games from our TV with our comfortable couch we tend to forget these are humans that playing and this is a severe schedule for them.
It's not about injuries only, it's mainly about them being tired and out of form.
We were seeing this lately, that the team was tired after that crazy run. So it was a wise choice this big rotation. It worked thankfully. We have to accept the fact that we can't play great every time.
