Shame he played a few out of position again , put everyone where they play their best
for this reason alone i thought laporte would of started, he usually does if cancelo plays on the left,Walker starting had to have been Pep leaving one eye on stopping the Haaland long ball.
That really impacted our build up in 2 ways: Walker himself can’t pass, and it means the LB tucks into midfield leaving Dias trying to build up from the LB area on his weak foot, with Stones in the centre. To work properly it really needs a left footed player as the LCB if he wants Walker to play, otherwise Zin has to come in and Cancelo inverted at RB.
I get why Pep did it, I wonder if he will be brave enough to switch it in the second game. Possibly Laporte back in for Stones like the BMG first leg.
Wins 27 of last 28 with more changes than you can think of and hes "bloody stubborn and never listens to advice". What sort of advice would this be out of interest?I can never understand why he makes so many stupid mistakes with team selections and playing players out of position when it's so obvious that it's never going to work.
He's so bloody stubborn and never listens to advice .
Infuriating man.
Who ? The whole point of the way we play is the flexibility, and movement of positions.Shame he played a few out of position again , put everyone where they play their best
