Even though the team was heavily rotated on Saturday it still had more than enough to win the game, I think the one area where Pep did make a mistake was his decision to move Fernandinho as a CB and move Zinchenko further back. Aware Ake might have been struggling for fitness but we had zero pace at the back. Even notwithstanding that the team out there should have delivered.

Its one of the most baffling things Pep has done in a long time.
I think there will be very few on here that aren't of the opinion that Fernandinho has lost his pace and the only time he should play centre half is in an extreme case.
Why Pep did this move of bringing Gundogan on, Ake off, Fernandinho to defence, Mendy to midfield and Zinchenko to left back is moving too many around.
Surely Pep knows from training and from matches Fernandinho should have remained in midfield. He was playing quite well there.

A domestic treble again for the only English side to ever do it once before would be effin amazing.

Really doesn't float my boat this Champions League shite.

Probably feel different if it was a competition for Champions only
Same as me mate . I don’t give 2 fucks about Europe but I can understand why a lot on here do .

Rested and rotated cleverly at the weekend - you could see them fade and City get stronger in the second half. Picked the right team in the right positions. Made the right change to give us more balance on the left. Kept them calm and focussed, even when in pressure situations. He saw us through those two legs brilliantly. World class management throughout and he deserves the result and credit.

I found it interesting in his post match presser he said we didn't start well with wingers wide so he switched it to have them inverted. I can only imagine this has to do with how Dortmund were defending. With Zinchenko and Walker on the wings and more men in the front line it seemed to pin Dortmund back and our midfielders could work the ball better to dominate the game. Amazing attention to detail.
