it also showed the respect to us the way leeds played. they never play like that.
Or alternatively....

Bielsa spotted a weakness in the team picked, and allowed space for JS to bring the ball forward, and if we lost it they could counter attack with us a man short at the back. With Mendy's useless twin playing, and Cancelo having an off day we were open to conceding goals (Ederson saved it from being 3).

Add to that our "attack" completely misfiring / not turning up, it was defeat in waiting, and was completely compounded by the Gundogan/Ake sub and reorganisation, which made no sense at all to me.

So you think xG is more important than actual goals on the field, fair enough, go back to whatever computer game you play, you'll probably win every game.
I don't think xG is more important than the actual goals on the field in one game, but in the long term, numbers and statistics give me a clue about my winning chance (not a guarantee, "just a chance"). So as you already know, that's called statistics and I put faith in it rather than the result of a few particular games because I graduated as a Maths Bachelor and currently working as a Software Engineer.

Anyway, that's just my belief; and as I said, it's totally fine if you put your belief in something else.

P/S: I don't really play any game related to football in the last few years; but yeah, I have a thought to build some game like that, with a much simpler mechanism, just for you to know :)

Btw, this is one of the movies I like. It's not the scene I like most in that movie, but the most related science to what we are saying. And it's not to convince you or anything, I just want to share the movie I like.

he brought gundo on for more attcking impetus as we were quite rightly trying to win the game, mendy was ineffective as you say so zinchenko i think dropped back.
its simple we lose he got it wrong, we win hail pep.
as i've said that team was more than capable of winning that game whatever the tactics, but the majority had an off day
shit happens we move on

of course you rotate but not seven in the prem, especially for the sake of a corrupt tournament that we'll never be allowed to win.
i'm amazed people are happy about this .
i know you don't like the champions league but it is no doubt the more important game of the two whether you like it or not
and pep quite rightly prioritised wednesday over saturday, of course he has to deliver now because of what happened saturday.

if we win it great but we should never prioritize it over the prem. i don't trust UEFA one jot. the FA are no angels , we only win here because we are too good and can beat their corruption . they know that . weaken and they'll have us.
by all means rotate but not seven , not in the prem, and certainly not with Mendy involved .

I don’t think we have prioritised the CL over the Prem.
He is managing his squad in order to win every competition he enters because that’s what he is - a winner.
It’s mental that people can say things like that when we are currently the runaway leaders of a competition you and others are claiming we are not giving our priority.
just take a step back and look at the season as a whole instead of pointing at the odd game here and there where our efforts to win the lot have meant a defeat has occurred in games where rotation has occurred.
Pep has earnt the right to make wholesale changes and parts of our fanbase should really start to trust him a little bit more.

I'd add also, that we could have fielded everyone's favourites and still lost. Football is a funny old game and as has been spouted for years, on a given day, any team can beat another, irrespective of the difference in class.

For me, Pep started the correct team, which should and could have won.
