No problem with the changes.
But it didn’t work, it wasn’t working so it was up to him to change it, or at least try.
He didn’t even try to win that game today.
Dreadful.

Sterling and Jesus are both seasoned professionals though on big money who are supposed to be good enough to win games. I agree that they’ve been crap recently but Pep had to rotate and it was a chance for them to step up.

Can’t really blame Pep for both of them making a mess of easy chances. Mahrez probably should’ve started ahead of Torres and I would’ve gone with Gundo/Bernie over Rodri but if our second string players want to play then they have to step up when given the chance.
Starting Jesus was fine, starting Sterling and Torres was not, they have been poor for a long time and the team suffers with them, Mendy shouldn't have started either, like I said playing these guys against Leeds was one thing but doing it against Chelsea is another thing, he should have learned from it but instead made the same mistakes.

He got it badly wrong. Leeds was the right call, the players let him down, it made no sense to trust them again in a game where we go out if they fail to deliver again. Major major fuck up on his part. Its only acceptable if he learns from it and doesn't fuck up any of the other competitions.

Not a chance.
In his world he never makes a mistake.

It’s difficult though with our fixture schedule. He has to rotate. He took a risk and arguably rotated a couple too many but I can see why he did it.

He also can’t freeze Raz out completely. He has to give him a chance to prove himself, especially after the comments he’s made recently. Raz should’ve done better.

Hopefully it won’t affect our momentum and we’ll bounce back with a win against Villa ahead of rhe

We rely on Pep too much. We have very few truly elite players (de Bruyne probably being the only one), and we rely on the average standard across the squad not having too much drop off in quality. But when the crunch time comes, I think this squad lacks somewhat and we rely on Pep’s tactics and quality too much.

When he gets it right we’re fine; when he gets it wrong here or there, a number of players don’t seem to step up and take responsibility, nor have the quality to.

We’ve lost leaders and elite players of late in Kompany DSilva and it feels like we lost Agüero a year ago. Others need to help Pep out and step up at crunch time now.

This might be the most ironic comment ever written on bluemoon.

You, someone who wanted Pep fired in January 2017, and fired again in November 2020, complaining that someone doesn't learn and won't admit they made a mistake.

Thanks for bringing a smile to my face.
