It's an ongoing thing with b\connellblue, he wants Pep, and most of the squad sacked every other week.

Pep did not prepare that team ,Pep did not pick the right combination of players (rested /unrested/ off form /in form) . He did little to change the obvious direction the game was going.
He talks up the opposition all week so that if it goes wrong he can hide behind it.
He got us on a roll this Season with the false 9 to cover the fact that our forwards cannot score and a full back coming into midfield to bolster the leggy pivot players. That's been sussed so you better come up with another masterstroke Pep and quick.

The most frustrating part of today was the fact that making 8 changes was always a gamble, and it didn’t pay off. We shouldn’t be risking it in a semi final.

It’s not about resting players really, because we now have to start our full strength side (or very near to full strength) every game until the league is wrapped up. Or are we expecting to rest players against Spurs too?

On the 10th anniversary week of our win over United at Wembley, I would rather play full strength today and then rest players against Villa midweek. Our cup run shouldn’t be dictated by Pep’s nerves about the league not being finished yet.

If it truly is the holy grail for him then The non performances from the past at the business end are hard to fathom.
He has far too much trust in players that let him down time after time.
Would it have been too much to ask to stick.a big man up front for the last 10 and fire it up to him to see if Jesus or sterling could feed off him. We went out with a whimper.

Not using subs is becoming a worrying trend, he seemingly refuses to believe he is wrong and will die on his sword. Nobody of a sane mind can watch that game today and keep Sterling on the pitch unless it is for some insane reason not based on his performance during the game.
