Pep Guardiola - 2020/21 Performances

The point I and others are making is if Pep starts with the 11 he should have (PSG 11) and plays then in their positions then absolutely it’s on them and they would exclusively be getting pellets in here because Pep picked the right team and they didn’t perform. But he didn’t. He tinkered with the personnel and formation and we lost.
Save your breath. He wont see it and youll just go in circles.

He has been amazing for us,i wouldnt want anyone else at the helm, but he let us down last night with those tactics. It also makes his decisions in the FA Cup semi all the more farcical.

How the fuck did he get it so wrong three times on the bounce? That should not be happening.
Like him a lot, but let us down, 3 times on the bounce, thats true.. showed incapacity to solve the Tuchel puzzle ..thats embarrassing for the top manager he is..that poor performance today..that defensive process.. The desorganization. . Well, hope he stands up, learn, but really learn and im sure he will bring us more trophies.

Everyone is entitled to make mistakes but to make the same mistake time and time again, three seasons in a row, is unacceptable and Pep should be held to account for it. As much as he has done a lot for the club, he should not get away with yesterday circus. I start suspecting that he does it on purpose to prove a personal point even if it is detrimental to the team. In saying that, I do not mean that he does not care if we lose, he just wants to invent new aspects in the game and make the headlines but for god sake, you have the entire PL season and two domestic cups to tinker but don’t tamper with CL final !

It's the problem with being branded a genius (which I do honestly believe he is) - sometimes it's as simple as putting our your best 11 in such a way as lets them play their best, ie Foden on the left, KDB not too high so he's facing the goal, Dinho or Rodri at the base of midfield, and trusting them to do their best.

The players should have been full of confidence from the season, but you could tell something was off from the start. Passes going astray, runs not being made, people having a go at each other. It wasn't working long before Kevin went off. It looked from the outside as of they were trying to follow a plan that wasn't second nature, which is nuts considering how well they've played together this season.

And the end was farcical - the centre halves stuck on the ball without any options to pass to, and just all these attackers lined up up front of them, none of whom was going to get the ball. It was the antithesis of what our team has done this season.

I should also say that Chelsea were well set up and played well. But not incredibly well - we should have beaten them.

Hardy backs to the wall was it. Keeper hardy touched it. Shit from City
Doesn’t have to be to be outplayed. You can be outplayed even when having 70-80% possession (which we didn’t).

The game went exactly how Chelsea wanted it to. They let us pass the ball where it wasn’t dangerous, Kante took the piss and made every single one of our players look like they played in League 2, it was so easy for him to pick off our passes and hit us on the break.

They had at least seven very good chances to score, we had maybe two.

Chelsea were excellent last night.

After only a few minutes it was obvious we were leaving far too big spaces in midfield, leaving the defence wide open.

Chelsea gave us one or two scares, but he did nothing to shore it up and the inevitable happened.

Pep, it was obvious to all and sundry they would eventually convert, and you did absolutely nothing.

Also, and as most have said, Sterling should not have been shoe horned in, not because of his poor form, but also because you had key players moved to differing positions.

Against PSG, we were at our best, why change it when all from that game were avail.

Play to our strengths and let the opposition worry about us.

Four seasons in a row.

Dropped Sterling because he thought he was going to shit it at Anfield like he had done previously, and played Gundogan wide right. Lost 3-0 and were fucking shit.

Dropped captain Kompany, best player de Bruyne, player of the season Bernardo, and Sané away at Spurs. Lost 1-0 and were fucking shit.

Decided to sacrifice an attacking player to play five at the back against the 7tb best team in France. Lost 1-3 and were fucking shit.

Decided to change the winning formula that saw us score 4 over two legs in the Ro16, the ¼s and ½s for the final. Fernandinho was incredible against Paris, he was on the bench; Gundogan’s been brilliant in attacking mid all season, played him in defensive mid against one of the fastest and best midfielders in sport; Foden has looked like the best left forward in Europe, played him in midfield where he hasn’t played well once all season; Bernardo ran 12k away at Dortmund in the false9 position and is invaluable when he plays his selfless high pressing game, played him in midfield; needed to get back in the game, gave Agüero ten fucking minutes in his final game for the club after he scored a brace last week; started Sterling who’s played well once all season and who’s general play has been shit for nearly two years… lost 0-1 and were fucking shit.
