3 losses vs Tuchel and not in one of those games have we set-up in our normal system(4-3-3) whilst Tuchel has set-up Chelsea exactly the same everytime.
Fa cup 4-2-3-1
League 3-1-4-2
Champs 4-2-2-2
Cant wrap my head around it, our best performance was the league where we matched their system and should have been 2-0 up if Serge didn't flop his paneka pen, so that worked offensively, why not at least try that(if you must experiment) again but with our better, inform players starting instead?
What even was his idea behind 2 false 9s? With no one to run in behind the players they dragged out anyway? We didn't have anyone in midfield(Gundo and Bernie) to break the line with take-ons to put Chelsea on the back foot, all their defending except Eddy ping to Sterling was done in front of them. It was so easy for them.
Mahrez was one dimensional came for the ball everytime so all Chilwell had to do is follow him tightly easy night and Sterling wouldn't have got the better of James if they were still out their now. Foden was anonymous at cf. With the 3 players all struggling in their positions why not interchange them rather than sticking with something that quite clearly wasn't working?
The loss is on Pep, we weren't set-up with a chance of winning, 2nd best all over the pitch, knew the game was over when we came out for the 2nd half with the same team and set-up. Needs some champions league tinkering shock therapy.
