He is our greatest manager BUT I will never, ever trust him in the major games.
That's not emotional that's a FACT.
We play united and he changes it.
We should've beaten Lyon but he changed it.
I thought lessons had been learnt.
They haven't. The more time he has the more he complicates it.

I like him a lot. And I like this collection of players a lot. I wish I had something more insightful to day. Someone yesterday in Porto was giving me shit saying "I'm tired of you blindly sticking up for players". I think the opposite is true, those who are the most unhappy and are making the most noise about individuals, are the blind ones. They don't see what's in front of them because they're chasing a kind of perfection which simply doesn't exist.

Ah well, such is life. I'm going to find a place to have a beer and some food and try and ease my way out of this City.
I take it you are there whats the mood out there with fans, is it different to those of us posting from home. Have a good day and trip back .

Captain hindsight

Chelsea have our number right now and it’s something we need to sort over the next couple of seasons otherwise we’re in trouble as they’re a coming force

pep had the same issues with Liverpool and he sorted that out, we’re unbeaten in the last 5 or 6 games against them

he is the best manager in the world , perhaps ever because he finds solutions to problems

most people are advocating picking the same team over and over and assuming the quality will win out , it’s too simplistic , the opponent wants to win too and also sometimes has a plan that’s better or beats ours

i guess it’s easier to take if you can scapegoat the reason for a loss but it’s not on Pep, Chelsea were just better than us
Chelsea a coming force, a tad OTT, but each to there own

People were happy with our performances vs PSG because we won, and did forget we were poor in the first halfs of both games. Fernandinho's performance was in particular quite overrated on here. PSG were without Mbappe and still were the more dangerous team in that first half in Manchester. It could have easily ended 1:1 or even 1:2. If Ferna was doing what Pep wanted from his DM, he would have started in Porto. It's that simple. Truth is Ferna was abysmal vs Chelsea at Wembley, something people did conveniently forget. Mount was toying with him there. Rodri has lost form recently.

The criticism might be justified to an extent, but it is also OTT sometimes. We are lucky to have one of the greatest managers ever. No two ways about it. Ferguson managed to win only 2 CLs, both times with a lot of luck.

well said people on here rate Dino as some sort of superstar, he’s a good player and been brilliant for us , he came on and the game didn’t change . Would of been same outcome of dinho started imho.
Rodri was needed to control the ball , receive it off the cb’s and recycle it .
It’s what we’ve done all season and couldn’t last night , we couldn’t keep the ball at all in first half

Going into this season I was thinking a transition season where we may be able to pick up a cup if we were lucky.

that feeling was confirmed once the season started and we looked nowhere near good enough until at least the end of November

then out of the blue Pep pulls the rest of the season out of his arse and we were two games away from winning the lot

its only down from here when he leaves , we will be begging for a return to the past 5 years

The minute that team was announced a fukin massive sigh was heard by over 50 lads in the bar. All saying they’ve wasted their time and money If I thought for one minute that useless twat was playing, and even worse Fern or Rodri were going to be denied their moment I would not have gone through all that stress and shit last week.
Just hope we get another option on not renewing for next season cause I won’t be going if he’s still here in August. No doubt the penny will finally drop the mans stealing a living and is so far up his own arse will still try for this £350k a week contract……fuck off

pep needs to fuck him as his success will be tainted,
Sounds like there were a lot of racists in that bar.

I dont think he will change tho. He had the chance to learn from Lyon game and and even upped it now with this final.
Why would he learn anything from it?

He does not trust the team to do the job thats why he tinkered vs Lyon against a much lesser side, and again he did not trust our first eleven to do the job vs Chelsea.

no idea why is that but thats what it comes down too.

Imagine Tuchel changing around their system by benching Kante yesterday, having Mount sitting deep chasing our players and putting Tammy Abraham upfront who was out of squad for large part of Tuchel's time.
