Absolutely baffled how a shit arrogant manager surrounded by mentally weak players who need to be sold (ffs) have managed to collect as many trophies as they have over the last five years.

Something doesn’t quite add up, but hey, who am I to argue with the performance experts.
Spot on, can’t believe with what he and the team have done the last few years, with what they have done this year, the best of any team in europe this season, that we lose a champions league final and suddenly Pep and the team are weak and shit,
FFS there being dissapointed and wishing things had gone differently, but anyone doubting these players and manager with an addition of a striker and possibly one or two ther additions can’t carry on winning things and give the c/l another good crack are fools beyond belief.
Luckily the club aren’t fools and will back Pep and the team to the hilt.

Yeah ok. One has Werner and Tammy. The other has Mbappe and Neymar.
and Kante, Rudiger and Reese James. Also one team is an indisciplined rabble and the other is super disciplined and carries out their coaches game plan to the letter. Chelsea would beat PSG in a similar way to the way they have beaten us thrice.

Its a bit depressing on here today mate.

Wouldn’t have happened if we’d have played a specialist DM. Play the PSG team and we’d have slapped them last night.
Captain hindsight

Chelsea have our number right now and it’s something we need to sort over the next couple of seasons otherwise we’re in trouble as they’re a coming force

pep had the same issues with Liverpool and he sorted that out, we’re unbeaten in the last 5 or 6 games against them

he is the best manager in the world , perhaps ever because he finds solutions to problems

most people are advocating picking the same team over and over and assuming the quality will win out , it’s too simplistic , the opponent wants to win too and also sometimes has a plan that’s better or beats ours

i guess it’s easier to take if you can scapegoat the reason for a loss but it’s not on Pep, Chelsea were just better than us

Rodri or Dinho have started 59/60 games this season as holding midfielder. Guess which was the game he decided to experiment and not play either of them there? Yep the biggest game of our recent history.

We may well have been beaten if either of those 2 had played but once again I guess we will never know eh.

Just like Lyon soon as I saw the team sheet I knew we was beaten, he’s put our most out of form player for 12 months in the starting line up, moved out most dangerous attacking outlet (Foden) away from where he’s done all his damage and pulled back our leading goal scorer into holding midfield, if it’s not broke don’t fucking fix it!!! Why does he constantly tinker in Europe depending on who we’re playing? We are the best side in the competition play our best 11 and let them worry about us.

Rant over. Bring on next season.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that if Pep got anything wrong it was the assumption that by fielding his A team and playing the same system as we did the first two games against Chelsea we would win because of the quality of players on the field. This assumption proved to be incorrect and the game was very similar to the first two. Tuchel is at the moment outsmarting him and I believe next season we will have to change something tactically to beat them.

It's easier to outsmart a manager when you sit back and wait for dangerous counters.

Chelsea were lucky to win at the Etihad. A disgraceful penalty from Kun and poor refereeing decisions helped Chelsea in the league game.

You underestimate your point that Chelsea dealt better with the pressure, not least because of being underdogs.

What makes Pep one of the greatest managers is that he wants to win in style, and not just by playing it safe and relying on counters. If he was only about winning, he wouldn't have created all those great teams and broken all those records.

Pep wanted to win in style last night. It backfired. The players didn't cope with the pressure well, didn't press well, didn't pass well, some players weren't in form, some weren't themselves. When your leaders such as Dias and Kevin are among your worst performers, you must be lucky to win. What was Dias doing for their goal? What did Kevin do for 60 minutes apart from one good pass to Foden?
