Pep Guardiola - 2020/21 Performances

Time will tell. It's fairly obvious for me though.

Both Ederson and Steffen are relativy young for keepers.

Same with our CBs. Chances are Laporte and Dias will form a reliable pair. Ake is relatively young too, even Stones is just entering his prime.

We need to sign a LB, DM, CF, and we will be fine for 3-4 years. Then, after next summer, we can add 1-2 top top players every season.

I think the transition will be nearly completed in several months. Come March we will be the bèst team in England in terms of performances injuries permitting. We may even with the league.

The likes of Dias, Laporte, Rodri, Bernardo, Sterling, Foden, Jesus, Torres, Ake..can only get better over the next 3-4 years.

So come March we will have a great team again. That's my prediction. Time will tell.

Ofcourse we will

Another horror show today. Any team who are prepared to have a go cause us no end of problems. Some of the garbage that have ended up at City are a shocking indictment of our transfer dealings of which like it it not Pep has to shoulder the Blame and don't give me he's not responsible for transfers. Too right he is.

Will you admit you are clueless if we end the season strongly? Asking for a friend.

Be careful what you wish for , Pep is the best in the business but he has only ever completed four seasons at any club, he looks jaded at the moment in Spain and Germany it was far easier to win a league title , the Premier league is the toughest in the world its ruthless and unrelenting
If Pep walks at the end of the season for a sabbatical , then he goes with my blessing and thanks for what he has brought to our club , the best football i have ever seen, at the moment he lives our club 24/7 has backed us 100% in his press conferences and has been a credit to our club , it will be a very sad day when he throws the towel in.

Will you if we don't?

Yes, I'm making a clear prediction. If reality happens to be completely different, then I was/am clueless.

Do those who criticise Pep and the players have skin in the game though? Will they admit they were/are clueless.

Will you? What's your prediction?

Yeah - he’s always inherited great players, so won almost by default. This is the first time he’s stuck around anywhere long enough to have to sign and develop his own players to create a new cycle of success, and he’s been exposed.

The club have given him absolutely everything a manager could wish for, so any failure is exclusively on him.

Compare the reactions on this thread with the loyalty rags show towards their managers even when they've spent a billion and won fuck all whilst us blues want the best manager in the world sacked because he isn't winning 38/38 games. Not a good look in my opinion. Pains me immensely to say this, but we have genuinely turned into rags circa 1992-2012. Just braindead nonsense every match, so much fucking moaning and whinging. Grown men emptying their bowels because Pep dared to start a player out position because both strikers are injured. Abhorrent behavior.

Last time we struggled they were all out, then laid low while we were winning, now they are back. If we get back to winning ways they’ll dissappear back into the background.
I’m with you think we’ll get stronger, the break comes at a good time for us. That said with the players missing 4 points from Leeds and Wolves away is okay more than most will get. Leicester at home is the only result thats set us back and has disappointed me.

I agree . At the moment we are just seeing the same mentality that allowed Solskaer to turn us over 3 times. Problem is if he walks I don't trust either of the Spanish duo to get someone decent, They just tune in to Sky Sports to give them a steer .

The duo that have appointed managers that have won more trophies than any other team over the last 8 years ,the only team to finish top 4 the last 8 years, biggest load of bollocks I’ve ever seen posted on here, well done.If that’s from watching Sky hope they keep going.

In fairness, we have also invested the most.

Can't blame him if the death of his mother has effected him.

Regularly has the look of someone just going through the motions.

Though he's been hampered by terrible recruitment by the club.

Yes, and I for one am grateful for the investment, and the trophies and great football to watch the investment and the way its been spent and managed has brought. Some others not so much obviously. Some never satisfied and never will be.

the rags beat us 3 times last season....

We did the double over rags when they won the CL and prem in 07-08. What's your point?
You're saying the rags are loyal towards their manager forgetting that he beat us three times not only did he do this he also out did pep in those games tactically so comparing it to that year is silly. At the end of the day there is no room to be sentimental we need to be ruthless and practical. Pep needs to make it clear what he wants to do. Imo pep has been great for us but i think were coming to the end of his time here teams are figuring us out and his tactics in the champions league have been baffling.
